Dwight Smith and his wife Renee were upset to hear that after a year and a half of dedication to their company i had a great opportunity to join another company. I stayed with Dwight during 100% turn over in my department, i watched 3 people get fired for no reason, just to be replaced by new people and fired 3 months later. I constantly had to worry about my job and if my children would have what they need to survive.
I am a 24 year old single mother to a 2 and a 4 year old, Dwight knows my dedication to both my career and my children. When I put in my two weeks with Dwight, in the same week wo other people in the department put in their two weeks. The week before i left i was blessed to see emails where Dwight was trying to figure out ways to replace me and the individuals that left, he was not going to tell us but instead replace us with contractors. I put in my two weeks on May 29th and was told to leave the premise immediately. He then told me because i put in my two weeks on May 29th and not June 1st,
i did not finish out the month therefore am not entitled to the commissions i earned with SSI. I had 17 people billing for me at the tme people I RECRUITED that would have NEVER been working for SSI if i had not recruited them to work for SSI. I treated each consultant with the upmost care, i attended my job daily and was nothing but faithful toSSI and Dwight. When i learned my job and my childrens well being may be in danger from not having a job, I did what i had to do. I have joined one of the BEST Consulting firms in Columbus, OH that would never treat anyone this way.
I am very disappoited with Dwight and the way he has allowed his wife to handle his company. They both pretended to be mentors to me, and once i find a new opportunity they hold back $4,000 from my children and I. The worst part about it is, he had his wife tell me i was not getting paid my commissions (who didnt even work at SSi when i was there) and then told me to never ever contact him again. We currently have a small claims case to take place next week. In addition, Dwight has told current empployees "I know i owe her, and I would pay her - but my lawyer said we will win the case".
Three other recruiters that i am still friends with that i addressed earlier - left under the SAME circumstances and were released with their salary PLUS their commission for that month, none of them finished the month. Because i was the top producer i was targeted by Dwight and his wife - they were upset and emotional that i left and withheld my money as punishment.
Very disappointed, incredibly disgusting and a cannot believe Christians or anyone who even calls themselves a decent person would steal money from a young single mother. Terrible. My hopes are Dwight and his company get it together with integrity and honesty and stop keeping things from their employees. Most importantly i hope that they realize WHY people are leaving their company. Wishing you all the best at SSI and anyone still there, pray you're not next

I would like to address an apology to the Smiths and sophidicated systems. This is a great organization and Dwight has done a lot for his company, I believe he's truly a good person. I also salute Jane for all of her hard work, she's a very smart woman. I would like to say sorry sincerely to the leaders there, I wish them many more years of happiness and prosperity. It is my true belief that SSI will succeed as a company and I would recommend doing business with them. I truly hope everyone accepts the apology! Best of luck to all of you. Thanks!

Let's be real Dwight this is not the only case against you for unwillfully withholding someones hard earned money. you and i both know the truth. Same with everyone else you owe money in this city, you are a rip off and your entire company is based off lies. PLEASE READ THE OTHER REPORTS FILED ON SSI if you do not believe me. They are unethical and LIARS. I would expect him to make a statement such as the above, if you want paid for your work.. STAY AWAY from this place. Many blessings to anyone who accept a job with a company with an owner with such low moral. Pay these people their money dwight, stop letting Renee run your company. You're going no where fast!

Many employees of the SSI have been members of the SSI family for many years - and in several cases more than 15 years. SSI is an employee owned firm (ESOP) and many of the shareholders are very excited about the company's future and certainly the company's values of fairness and very high moral standards. The company has been recognized in the community including receiving the Corporate Caring Award, The Fast Fifty Awards and many others. In addition, the President received the E&Y Entrepreuneuer of The Year Award for his commitment to quality and to his commitment to the employees of the firm. The values that the firm were established on in 1990 remain true today -- honesty, integrity and a servant leadership approach to the business.
SSI has always been 100% consistent with its policies regarding paying commission. SSI has been consistent (and continues to be consistent) with internal policies, which are believed to be fair, and also consistent with the industry. Many current and former employees of the firm would share that the company tends to go "above and beyond" to support their employees/shareholders both personally and professionally.
This matter is current in the court system and scheduled for a hearing next week. I would encourage anyone reading this article to follow the case in the court. I anticipate that the claims reported on this website will not be upheld however it is an honor to live in a great nation where everyone is entitled to openly and publicly share their opinions.
SSI is an outstanding firm. Specifically regarding negative references directed towards the President and his wife, in order to gain a transparent view of the couple simply visit the Thanks Be To God (tbtgfoundation.org) website. Their commitment to helping others in a positive fashion has been the case for many, many years.
