Studio B Sony Outlet Store Didn't get good information from sales peoplr & got ripped off on Price theirs &149-Internet $69 Orlando, Florida

While on vacation in Orlando I visited the Sony outlet store at the Lake Buena Vista Outlet Mall (aka Studio B, 15843 S. Apopka Vineland Rd.) to look for noise canceling earphones.

I asked the salesman for help telling him that I wanted noise canceling earphones that had the same kind of controls that my Iphone earphones had. He suggested the Sony MDR-NC33 noise canceling headphones. They looked like what I was looking for but being in a sealed package I was unable to verify this and had to take the salesmans word. The cost was $149.99.

After returning home I opened the package and found out they were not what I needed because they had no controls like the Iphone earphones.

I then did some checking on line and found the same earphones at Sony.com for $99 and at Amazon for $69.

After returning to the store the next day I told them the story about how the salesman had misled me and would like my money back as these would not fit my needs.

The sales person said all sales are final and there was nothing he could do. Then he said they do notreturn packages that are opened.Then he said it was up to the sales person who was not there (leaving later today there is no way to talk to the orginal salesman).

I pointed out that there was no way to know that they were not what I had asked for until I opened them. I then asked about the price difference andwere all the items in the store marked up that much from MSRP. His response was"not all".

All in all a very unsatisfactory business transaction. This store is taking advantage of tourists on vacation and ripping them off.

I have filed a complaint with Sony USA and I am waiting on a response.
