answer to Jason
Good Evening
Chances are, you are not going to get your money back. The scam is simple, once they get your money they change their name and dissappear into the sunset with it. I would tell you to report them to the Better Business Bureau. The BBB track record is a little shady but you can at least try. If nothing else, take this a lesson learned. There is no such thing as a get rich scheme. I can tell you only because I know many victims and have been a victim myself. I got smart after I kept losing money. You said you dont have money to give away and I agree, I hope you dont fall prey to any more so called work at home scams.....they are literally polluting the internet.

Dawn, do you have any input that could help me? I Do not have $24.95 to give away to people. I wrote to them with questions, but as I said, I was still waiting for them to contact me. Who should I contact? I want them to refund my membership fee.

I tried, I mean I did, but I just couldnt stop myself. I couldnt stop laughing at your post about your waiting to get your 5 dollar payment chances are people saw you ad and laughed their butt off wondering who has the time to put out flyers.
Have you ever known a legitimate company to do business posting flyers? I dont and I am almost 30 years old. If you do fill me in maybe I am getting old. You say you are waiting for your check right? Heres an idea, I want to go to your door if you dont see the devil serving lemonade on ice it means two things number one, hell is not freezing over and number two, you are not going to get any free money.
To the original poster, you will not see your money there is no such thing as stuffing envelopes for 1000 plus dollars a week. Its outrageous. I have yet to know anyone who is making a living stuffing envelopes and making legitimate funds. Have a Good Day

I'm not sure why this works. Something to do with your body's need for oxygen, I think. Or, it could be all the hydrogen that gets loose from the new fuel cell cars.
But, whenever you send your money to a fraud, it really helps if you hold your breath while you are waiting for the fraud to send something back.
Did you ever hear the expression holding my breath until I was blue in the face?
Now, you know it works.

I wrote two letters to Slyons months ago, asking if I was distributing information about the company through flyers the right way and if I was allowed to put more information about benefits of the company on the flyers. The company gives you the option of creating flyers or distributing flyers. I created home-made flyers via the computer and I attached tabs to the flyers so people would respond upon reading the flyer, so they would take the tabs, and send $5 dollars in the mail to my address and request information about the company. For one of the flyers I put up, I noticed tabs were of the flyers, and I thought that was great- beacause dozen or so people were going to send envelopes with $5 in them requesting information about signing up for the company. I have been waiting weeks for any money to come from this, so this makes me think that people are just taking the tabs off withou responding to them. It has been weeks since I send letters to Slyons asking if I was doing the right thing, but it didn't take this long when I signed up with them. I even changed the contant and wording of the flyers, because I wanted to get people's attention-I need people to send envelopes with $5 in them, so I can send the information to them, so I can do what is required of me to make money with this company. I don't want to say that this is a scam, but I'm wondering what I should do at this point, because I'm still waiting to hear from the company and I'm still waiting for people to send SASEs and payments of $5 in the mail. If you go to the stuffenvelopes.com website now, It will say that they're not accepting new applications at this time. What should I do?
Sincerely,

Friend of the Company

This company is not a rip-off. I have contact with the one of the owners of this company and I know exactly how people are making money by stuffing envelopes in their spare time.
StuffEnvelopes does not ask you to sell the same information that they provide to you for the fee of $24.95
They ask that you to obtain envelopes through advertising and then have people send you a self addressed and stamped envelope along with $5 for the information that you stuff into the envelope and then mail out.
This company is legitimate and money can be made through it. It just takes work. They also promise to send you extra money after you have stuffed 100 envelopes in the above manner. Once you receive the envelopes in the mail from people that sent you a SASE self addressed and stamped envelope, you send that envelope you received the $5 in and send it to StuffEnvelopes.com and they mail it out. They want you to send it to them first cause they have to count them up to 100 so that they can send you the extra money.
I am a nurse and I enjoy making money in my profession, but if you want to earn extra money at home this is the company to go to.

Stuffing envelopes is NOT legitimate! NOT, NOT, NOT!
AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, October 19, 2004
Don't even think about sending $25 to stuff envelopes. I can tell you what you would get.
Most of them won't send you anything. They just keep your money.
The few that do send you something tell you to run an ad in the local newspaper. Get people to send you $25 to tell them how to stuff envelopes. That's the stuffing part. You'd be cheating new victims and sending them instructions on how to cheat others.
Just in case you get the bright idea to try this, it's postal fraud. That's a federal crime. No, you won't go to jail. But, they will send you a threatening letter in the mail. If you don't stop the nonsense, then someone will show up and help you stop.
Besides, there is no money in it anyway. All you do is cheat a handful of people who are as desperate as you are! Sound like fun?
Also, don't fall for the $5 for $500,000 scam either. You know, where you send out $5 to a name on a list, and a month later 100,000 people each send you $5. That's called a pyramid scam.
In fact, before you send for anything in the mail, come here and ask about it! Somebody will explain how the scam works and you'll save your money.
Do you want to work at home? Go to the library and get: home-based business for dummies. Check for other books about home jobs while you're there.
Read all the books in the library before you go out and spend one dime! Then, if you plan to buy anything that you find on the internet, ask somebody here first!
The money you save will be your own! The very fact that you even are asking about the envelope scam shows that you are just waiting to get cheated out of your money. Don't let that happen!

Now that you have received your package, was it a legitimate opportunity? I was looking at this company as well and would be very interested in hearing from people who have had good or bad experiences.
Thanks
