SunState Movers & Storage was one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I have never reported anything to the BBB but had to on this company. I wish I would have visited this site prior to using their company. The only reason I went with them was their B+ rating. They are now lying to BBB and stating they didn't know about a drop off, this along with other things. I usually let things go but this company is ridiculous. Someone hung up on me and told me I was bothering him. No one apologized to us, nothing was discounted for inconvience of their delivery. We had to threaten them with the police just to get our things. Think twice before using this company, they aren't nice after you sign the agreement.

I am sure they will be back..... with a new name

 I filed a complaint with the BBB and was told that they have not responded at all. When the lady from the BBB contacted one of the many names that Sunstate, First Choice, Stress Free Move, Allstate Movers and last but not least Florida State Movers is using , they are always reinventing themselves with a new name but same D.O.T #. The answer is all the same, oh consumers complaint is news to me, If you email the complaint to me I will get on top of it. Then in a few days when she follows up, email addresses do not work , the phones mail box is full or disc.  I think CSI their so called "Insurance Company" is in on the scam too. If you do a bit of research on SUNBIZ.ORG, and the D.O.T. 's website all these so called moving companies are run by the same few people. Izak, Moshe, Yoshi and their ever so useless customer service reps: Megan, Michelle, Melissa, Kerry and Jonathan.
 
It is really sad that the state of Florida allows this to continue. My best advice is to contact the D.O.T., FL dept of Agriculture and Consumer Services ( If the move was local in FL they can do alot in terms of the complaint)  and the A.G. office and file a complaint


They now have an F raiting with the BBB of west FL. (big shock)

This company Does Not Have Insurance

Everything that is being complained about is what I went through. I was charged double, my belongings were damaged, I am missing expensive items. They showed up in an Enterprise rental truck. Once they have your money they do not care about you. I filed a claim with CSI... I was told they no longer carry insurance. The company has not responded to any of my phone calls or emails. They are hoping I will go away, and belive me I won't... They need to be shut down and put out of business.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU REALLY DON'T CARE IF YOU GET RIPPED OFF

20 Trucks my @#$

When they showed up to move me they had a rented truck from enterprise. So what happened to the 20trucks. But the workers did have on Sunstate shirts. They were orange so if you mayconfuse a worker for a convict your not the only one. Stay far away from these fools as you can. Unless you want your things broken, stolen or just plain ruined. They have POOR customer service, they claim to have a company that will take care of all claims but when you send in all your receipts, forms, pics etc they will say they are not working with Sunstate/First Choice any longer. My best advice is if you used these crooks and are considering filing a claim with "CSI" or Sunstate save yourself time and stress and file with small claims.

why is your email "the moving guy" ? why are u trying to badmouth a great local company?

they are not a broker, they operate at least 20 trucks and they do a great job!

i dont agree with u about the quality of their work and your response looks  fishy to me.

Sun State Moving and Storage

They have a B+ Rating?  I would avoid them like the plague.

They have 1 truck which means they will sell your move to the lowest bidder, keep your deposit as a signing fee and disappear.

i had a great experience with this company, they assisted me in a pretty big move into a house in hyde park and i have nothing but compliments across the board. they arrived on time and got the job done on budget. i honestly expected to pay more than their 'over the phone' estimate and to my surprise i wasnt charged a dime. my sales rep (alan) was very helpful and he walked me through the booking process  in a very professional manner. i want to especially recommend Tom the foreman , i tipped him and his team 30% and they were worth every penny! i would definitely use them on my next move. im taking the time to write this review because i think your negative review may be true but i feel it does these excellent  hardworking guys an injustice.
