If you have come to this site its because you probably got a phone call from TBG wanting an interview. I am not going to re-write what everyone else has written from this company cause I already know its all true. I would have the same story. For some reason yet have I found out yet, TBG changed there name from The Brenar Group. Seems sort of odd that they have now moved 4 times in the last 1/2. With this move they have changed the name and phone number. I will let you know when I find out why this is. For now re-type The Brenar Group or Cydcor if you wish to find out the true story on this company.

CYDCOR CYDCOR CYDCOR-The Brenar Group=TBG=North

AUTHOR: Todd Hilgert - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 23, 2010

I worked at TBG about a year ago or so, and actually was there for 19 months. It isn't all bad. I think you just have to know what you are walking into prior to taking the job.

TBG and it's umbrella corporation CYDCOR do door to door, face to face sales...SALES for fortune 500 companies.

You learn other things at TBG, but it's mainly a SALES job. They will tell you it's a fast track to management. For some it is. For others it's a sales job.

The average employee of this organization lasts about 21 days on the job. People tend to not like door to door sales after their first "promotion" or paycheck. Whatever comes first usually.

To be honest, the sales training is really good. I learned a ton, in the field, perfecting my sales process. When I left there, I felt like I could sell ketchup popsicles to a lady in white gloves. You generally will sell on an at&t residential campaign or a staples/quill business campaign. It involves alot of walking, and a lot of rejection. It also yields very low pay.

Most people leave this position, because they can't pay their bills.

The reason I stuck around for so long was because it was a challenge, and I like the majority of people there. I went from being one of the worse salespeople in the office taking home 200 dollars a week to one of the best salespeople in the country with over 1,000 dollars take home per week. Don't get me wrong, I didn't avg. a grand a week, but typically around 500.

The downside, You have to pay for all of your expenses. They say there are write offs, but for the majority, it doesn't apply. I saved nothing on this job, and lost a car in the process due to my inability to make the payments. A lot of people blame Rebby,Wrinardo,Nicole,Erin or whoever for this. The fact of the matter is...those people (me) stuck around trying to reach for an oppurtunity.

TBG and Cydcor is really good at preaching "big picture". Statements like "in a year, you'll be a manager making 6 figures, doing what you want to do". For the majority that isn't true. They say they are a merit based company. Sometimes the merit is how you look, and how others perceive you rather than how well you sell, train or recruit like minded people. I think it is that way almost everywhere, but it's tough to be lied to your face. " I know you'll be a manager. " Then they give rewards and oppurtunities to those who look GQ, but not nessacarily have the people skills. I think their thought is that they can work with the GQ person. They call it the path of least resistance.

The people they generally like to work with are recent college graduates. People who are young and dumb. Anyone with real world experience typically get filtered out.

They preach attitude. I agree with them. Attitude is everything. Again, being honest, my attitude improved while being there. I learned how to be more of people person, positive and less abrasive. The thing is, the one's doing the preaching are sometimes negative, but call you out, at a hint of a negative comment. It's very clique or highschool mentality. An attitude of an overbearing parent who says do as I say, not as I do.

As stated earlier, I liked the people. I honestly did. You end up hanging out, drinking, dating, living with the people you work with. It was a lot like college, and that was cool. The downside to that, is it creates issues. Issues you normally wouldn't have on other jobs. An example, would be seeing the girl you have a crush on f**king one of your buddies. Hey, I am just saying. Issues you normally don't run into in typical professional jobs. It also messes with your head. During the day, you are training a person, coaching them on sales and a business mentality. At night, your drinking with them, and being their buddy. It makes it hard to keep a business persona.

In conclusion, it is what is. Don't buy into the hype. Don't trust their word. If you take a job with them. Be positive, learn, and move on. There are bigger and brighter oppurtunities than Cydcor.

Thanks for the memories,

- Todd Hilgert, with a job behind a desk, on my "fat" a*s, no one bothering me, in the AC, earning salary, commission, bonus, benefits. In a job with a true six figure future only working 9-5, m-f.

Much love.

AUTHOR: Natalie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 11, 2010

Brenar group to TBG to North Inc. The only reason rebby changed it to North inc is if you try to look it up on line there are tons of North companies. Hopefully people will see this and post so we can get this page on top of any search engine.
