Teleperformance USA located in Ogden Utah is by far the worst place I ever worked in my life. They lure you away from other companies with the promise of bonuses and raises with a future in telemarketing and management. After completing a training period, they give you a work schedule that is the leftover crap that no one else wants. There is so much favoritism there it makes you want to puke. Certain people can get away with lying about having jobs and/or being in school at night, when in reality they are in the bars at night!!! You are constantly threatened with your job (write-ups,etc) if you don't reel in enough suckers to buy whatever worthless garbage they are selling at the time. It's not who you know, it's who you b***. Ask anyone who'se ever work there.

I meant what I said about fake excuses to not work at night.A girl in my training class brought in a class schedule which she forged the signature on to get out of working nights. She was also given a 6am to 2:30pm schedule Monday thru Friday! This is what you get when you supply your coach with Vicodan. She also was bragging about how good she is at playing pool at night in the bar!! I never missed one day of work or took any extra time on breaks. Also, the lawsuit filed againest TPUSA netted me a whole $15!! Wow!! I could hardly contain myself! This place is still a joke to this day.

(dell tech no longer exists BTW) now not only was i fired. the other employee that was helping was fired and so was the supervisor. all for the same incident and for the same reason. even though they told us all something differant. i dont see any protecting there... do you? the manager of the dell project at our site was fired a few weeks later.

Choosing to work somewhere does not bar you from complaining about their horrible working environment nor does working their and having to accept things as they are bar you from complaining about horrible working environment either. Since I read more about people who work their and have the same problems with supervisors and you were only in management, sounds like you did not know what the rest of the body of the company was really doing. Oh, and for information you (i'm calling pathetic person at this time only) i've worked their for my fair amount of time to wait till they lost the contract they were on due to these problems and then watch the same problems repeat themselves in another site. For your comment about this setting expectations and this long point of how when you sign something then you are obligated to do that and as you say who is the bad guy here? us for signing this thing and getting bent over the back for it. I think not, does it look like we live in a controlling party like communist, I think not, so all of your pathetic excuses will not fly. For a company to blaintantly treat as many employees as they do here and then use cover up and forcible by the job market and by employee's bills where they loose the ability to choose or have to conform. Teleperformance is definitley the bad guy here, the company, not the people working in it necessarily, since as you have shown, not all of you actually understand or see what is going on under your fingertips. Work is work, work is not to strip the life from you slowly and force you to conform to whatever emotional state they want you to be in, which they have found a great many loop holes, and not to mention have over time altered requirements so that they may force people to stay by shear numbers of people already there. Yes we could not sign and not go work for them, but then yes we could not eat and we could not pay our bills. Teleperformance is wrong in trying to and succeeding in many ways of forcing people to do things they would never and have never been to at any other job or forced slave labor for that matter. Not to mention some other problems I will not talk about on here that had happened in the past, hint, utah state law and united states laws will always have more power than what you sign. You can not sign your freedom away, no matter how much some people want to take it away.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

There are worse places...

Ok here is the real deal, as a person who was also an employee of this company and was also in management, I can honestly say that your report below is not accurate. There is no "lure from other companies"... YOU CHOSE TO WORK THERE and had you met all of your goals and hit the sales, you would have gotten a bonus, sales were a part of your job.

The schedule that you are given after completion of the training period is determined before you are even out of training and when you were hired (i know this because i DID second interviews and this point was stressed...) I can promise that you were asked if you had any problems with any shifts and if you did what were they... and if you said you were flexible, then you have no right to complain about what shift you recieved, besides with shift bids every couple of months, you never stayed at the same schedule anyways.
There is no favoritism with other agents about them working other jobs or having school at night, with that I know that this company does not work around other jobs period end of story (if you ever go in to apply you can ask they will say no), and as for going to school... you have to furnish proof as in a school schedule on school letterhead, a letter from the dean etc, you couldnt just say that you had school and they would just buy it... Doesnt happen that way.
Agents werent just threatened with write ups if you did your job right, if someone sets an expectation to you and you fail to follow it, what would you think would be the proper course of action? There are only so many ways management can ask someone, "please be on time" or "dont go over your break" or "why are you not taking calls" these are all things i know i had to ask my agents over and over and over to do... I practically had to beg them to fill out a piece of paper until it came down to writing them up. It comes to a point where if you do not do your job properly, yes you will get a write-up and a conversation, also you even have the oppurtunity to respond to your write up stating your case and disputing it if you really want.
it is not as you say who you b***, It is who does their job properly, really if you had that much trouble at that company then maybe you were just not cut out for that kind of position, just saying, they never expect any agents to follow any rules that were not spelled out to them and documented several times, and acknowledged with a signiture.

So really, Who is the bad guy here? Teleperformance, for expecting you to perform as you were trained to and follow the rules that you acknowledged yourself? Or was it you, as a neglectful agent who thought that you could just do whatever you wanted cause it was a call center job?

(oh and to the other comment on the report, a member of management would never tell you to do something that you would get fired for.... it is the managers job to fight for you.)

i compleatly agree with you

Hippie i compleately agree with you. having just been fired for something i was instructed to do by my supervisor. which is utter bullsh**. i will spill my guts on what it know..... the situation at teleperformance is so terrible that they have a class action lawsuit agienst them. they tell people to log out of the phones but wait around while they wait for more calls. and then they dont pay you for it. you get a writeup everytime you look aty someone the wrong way. they need to clean up there act.

as a side note. HIPPIE STILL WORKS THERE!!
