Tepwireless.com (Fonmigo Ltd.) Tomas Mendoza, Simone Rigoni Internship Issue London, Nationwide

Long story short, I have finished Loughborough University and moved to London at the start of September in pursuit of a graduate role. During my search I have accidentally approached an Internship at Fonmingo Ltd. - which I thought will be an exciting opportunity to expand my commercial awareness and get some valuable skills.

So I applied for an Internship role at TEP wireless (the advertisement clearly stated that company provides Travel&Lunch expenses), have been invited for an interview where I was introduced to the company and promised reimbursement of travel and lunch expenses (and even contribution to company's shares and commission paid on my performance - which I never received).

However, London is an expensive city and I could not stay longer in unpaid position. So I have found a paid job and resigned from Tep. When I asked TEP to reimburse what was promised - my Travel&Lunch expenses, Tomas Mendoza (Founder) asked me to provide receipts. I explained him that I don't have any receipts, and all I can do is to provide my bank statement that clearly states my (3weeks of zone 1-2 Oyster Card expenses) and some of the Lunch expenses - (as most of the payments were done in cash). 

However, I was really surprised when the Founder of the company was reluctant to help me and refused to reimburse expenses without the official receipts. Moreover, he told me to go to Tesco and get the receipts for all of the payments I have done (even for the carton of milk I bought). 

To conclude, I tried to catch Tomas Mendoza over the telephone and email and explained my situation to him several times, but he kept being reluctant to provide me the Travel&Lunch expenses reimbursement without the official receipts which I don't have and ignored me completely after a while.

I am really shocked by such unprofessional behaviour and I feel like I was humiliated. I am not sure whether such a behaviour is against the law, but it is clearly immoral and unethical and I would consider this before using any service offered by Tepwireless.com or about career opportunities at TEP.
