I purchased a supposedly "refurbished" Toshiba laptop from TigerDirect. When this arrived and I went to power-up, it would not boot up. I called the TigerDirect customer service and was advised to call "Joy Systems" as they perform the warranty work. I called JoySystems, they directed me to call TigerDirect as they had "no replacements".

I then called TigerDirect again, this time they instructed me to ship it back, no offer from the representative to pay for shipping. Since I needed this equipment quickly, I shipped overnight DHL + insured the equipment. After I checked the tracking and noted it was delivered, I called to see why the replacement was not being shipped, I wass told it takes them 5+ days to log in the return and ship out replacement. This not being acceptable, I asked to speak with a manager, I was refused.

After many, many phone calls, I finally got the replacement shipped out, after a huge run around. Was consistently refused to speak with management. The replacement arrived, and to my dismay, it did not work either! I guess this company does not check equipment prior to shipping. There is NO WAY these were professionally "REFURBISHED" as claimed by TigerDirect, or they word at least boot-up.

I called again and wrote the company. Got a huge run-around and again refused to be able to speak with management. They are great at sending out BS emails apologizing for any inconveinence. I wrote to the President of TigerDirect, Carl Fiorentino, sent the letter DHL Overnight, it was received, never answered...good company!!!

I finally was given a label to ship back "ground" UPS. Although I paid for them to ship to me 2nd Day Air. They will NOT reimburse me for the first return DHL Overnight which was $41.00, they won't even reimburse me for the amount of ground shipping that they would have paid.

This company mis-represents their items, it is fraud plain and simple. I highly recommend that anyone planning to da any business with this company DONT'T!!! There are plenty of companies out there that are reputable, offer great customer service and understand the importance of the consumer.
