My elderly father saw the Turbo Cooker Plus on TV and thought it would be great to have, since microwave cooking/reheating produces "chewy" results. I chose to order online because phone call would result in company trying to sell me extra stuff.

The very 1st page of Turbo Cooker Plus shows you a video and has fields to enter your name, address, credit card, and whether or not you want to make one or two payments. Under these fields is a button that says "Place Order". But wait, your not done yet!!! Company tries to sell you more stuff for the next 4 webpages (every time you say no).

I finally got to the "Summary" page that verifies info I entered on 1st page, as well as shipping info. In the upper right side is "Submit" button. Here's where it gets scary. There are no buttons to cancel, delete or remove order!! So I closed browser, cleared cache and went back to website to re-read some of the info following on the 1st webpage, (which is very vague). I had to re-enter info. I did this a few times without selecting "Submit". What happened? About an hour later, my card was charged 3x for an order I did not select "Submit"!!

I immediately called my credit card company and told them what happened. They said charges showed "pending" and to call Turbo Cooker Plus in AM, but if Turbo Cooker Plus refused to help me they would reverse charges once it showed processed.

I called Turbo Cooker Plus customer service about 1 hour after they opened, per their website. Turbo Cooker Plus refused to cancel orders, claiming I selected the "Submit" button several times. I explained to them I did not select the "Submit" button but closed the browser, since they did not offer ability to cancel order. They persisted in saying I selected "Submit". I also explained, how logical is it that I would place the same order 3x, when their website offered discount on additional orders??!!

Turbo Cooker Plus customer service manager persisted in saying I selected "Submit" but then also said the "Place Order" on the very 1st webpage places your order. I said if the 1st webpage places your order, then why did they have a "Summary" page with a "Submit" button at end? I told them this is giving consumer impression that their order has not been place and this is false advertisement, as well as deceptive practices.

Turbo Cooker Plus customer service manager persisted with this rhetoric and then added that the order already shipped and I would have to wait for product in 4-6 weeks and request RA#. (Hmmm, order processed Sunday at 10pm and out the door next morning 1 hour after they opened??).

What's also shocking? After I mentioned how deceptive and illegal this was, (say if someone lost Internet connection, their card is charged??) and I would have to report this to the FTC, State Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau, the Turbo Cooker Plus customer service manager said they will await those government agencies call!! Hmmm, company openly defying government!!

The good news is that my credit card company reversed those charges I did not want. I explained, when I finally did select "Submit", I received a broken link and was shocked to see credit card charges 3x.

Wait!! I'm not done yet!!

Turbo Cooker Plus 1st webpage says consumer has choice of making (2) $40 payments with s/h $30 or (1) $80 payment with s/h $15. Duhhhh! Of course I selected the single payment with less shipping cost, thus my total would be $95. Also, on the following webpages Turbo Cooker Plus asked again if you wanted single payment and I said yes. They sent email confirming my charge would be $95. However, my credit card company only saw $55 charge. I'm afraid that Turbo Cooker Plus will charge me excess fees, instead of the remaining $45, although I request single charge. Now my credit card company has noted my account and I have to watch for excess charges every day now.

Summary "Beware Turbo Cooker Plus Website":
(a) Selecting "Place Order" on 1st webpage automatically charges credit card without verification of order.
(b) Do not close web browser, also automatically charges credit card.
(c) Watch out for charges for fees you did not request.
(d) Watch out for the additional items they try to sell you, it's really double the price. You don't find out until at so-called "Summary" page.
(e) Turbo Cooker Plus customer service manager practically challenged the government, without remorse. You can guess how they treated me.
