Tom Maher is one of the most unprofessional people i have ever met in the Business Broker industry. The guy is so full of himself, that he constantly talks down to qualified buyers to help build his self esteem. The guys is so old, and so far removed from the current business market that he constantly offends buyers. My net worth is over $10 million dollars, and I have a masters degree from Princeton, yet i was told by Tom several times that I did not know what i was talking about and that he wold not schedule a call with his seller.
The real travesty is that if you are a seller, Tom is making the decisions for you on what buyers he thinks should buy your business? It is clear that Tom Maher puts his commission before the deal, as he was unwilling to Co-broker the deal with my representatives. A $5 million purchase price Tom and you charge 10% ( $500k) and you refused to Co-broker? A $250k commission on a sale is pretty good, but obviously not good enough for Tom Maher? Tom also threatened that he would sue me if i contacted the seller directly and asked him to Co-broker. 
Bottom line is Tom Maher with United Business Brokers is Old, out dated, slow, offensive, rude, fraudulent, greedy, and just an unprofessional.

DO NOT USE TOM MAHER OR UNITED BUSINESS BROKERS WHEN SELLING YOUR BUSINESS!!!
