Since this TN family has been dealing with Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance and Clayton Homes since January 2007 we've been lied to, slandered and harrassed to no end. To start what we were promised is far from what they delivered. Unfortunately we didn't find out until after closing and since that time there has been nothing but trouble when dealing with Vanderbilt. We were promised a fixed rate but they gave us an adjustable rate, when we confronted them about this they denied ever offering a fixed rate and insisted that we signed for an adjustable rate.

It's not enough that they flat out lied about the rate but they call with harrassing phone calls even before we are a month late. They have called family and nieghbors and made slandering accusations and threats. My recent phone conversation with the representative Sherry Wright, who told me that I obviously couldn't afford the home and I'd be better off living in Section 8 housing. Prior to this, the same representitive told a family member that I'd be paying the consequences and my payment was not late! This type of behavior is not the first time it has occured, this is constant with Vanderbilt Mortgage.

We are looking for others that may be victims of Vanderbilt to file a class action lawsuit or if someone has already started one, we would be interested in helping to fight them and their dirty decietful ethics, even though the word ethics and Vanderbilt don't belong in the same sentance.

In short, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance needs to be taken down and shown that just because we are people facing the corporation doesn't mean we don't have a chance. It's a case a David and Goliath.

Please contact me and let's band together to take down this sleazy corporation.

i am responding to this report because i used to live in clayton homes through vanderbilt. i was wrongfully evicted and my signature was forged on the paper work for the home. i had tried to fight for my right but they only gave me two weeks and they was still calling and putting up notices to get out. i had lost everything because of vanderbilt and clayton homes. i will do whatever it takes to get my named cleared off vanderbilt for the mistake that they did and i am paying for it thats not right.
