Verizon Wireless Verizon Wireless treats military personell like dirt Ripoff Ocala Florida

My son is in the military and my wife and I gave him a cell phone on our plan contract to stay in contact. Earlier this year his phone broke, and I want to get him a new one. I explained what happened to the store rep the problem and who the phone was for. I was told nothing could be done, I would have to simply pay full price for another phone. I then called Verizon Wireless at the 800 number and after talking with two(2) suprvisors, was now told there was a way I could extend my contract early and get a replacement phone for my son. I agreed.

The phone arrived and I was unable to activate it. I called yet another supervisor (I cann't stand talking to people in India. I cann't understand them! Plus the support is horrible!). After about an hour on the phone was activated and I sent it to my son. I thought all was well. That was about 3 months ago.

I got my latest bill and it had a charge on it which I didn't understand. I called Verizon Wireless and was told it was for the phone because I never renewed the contract. I explained I did renew the contract. An exchange of words began. I asked for a supervisor, but this time I was REFUSED access to one. I was told talk to the clerk on the phone now or forget it. I was not going to be allowed to talk to a surpervisor. I reluctantly agreed.

I went through the entire explaination again. Eventually I was told the previous two(2) supervisors had NOT renewed my contract. Now I had to get the phone from my son and make changes to it for 24 hours, then send it back to him. I informed the clerk that was not possible because my son was in the service. SHE DID NOT CARE!!!! I asked why wasn't I told this information when the phone originally arrived. No answer.

It seems answers are given for the occasion. Simply to calm or satisfy the customer. Noone really cared about the situation at Verizon Wireless. In the end I was billed full price for the phone.

I told the agent Verizon Wireless should be ashamed of itself. My son is a soldier. He could die for his country protecting the very liberties that Verizon Wireless was professing and for Verizon Wireless to show no compassion for lift a finger to work something out not for me but for my son, a soldier was unforgiveable and as a company Verizon Wireless should hang their corporate heads in utter SHAME!
