i have talked to many people over the past couple of months and all will agree that viking dodge,is the biggest cheaters and liers there ever was.
i also had the northwest herald do a follow up story to why i was being sued by viking dodge.the reporter took alll the information along with pictures and did her side of the story.

to no avail the paper editors have refused to print my side because they are afraid of viking dodge.it must be because they spend to much money with advertisment.the paper does not want the truth to be told.i always beleived the truth was the most important thing in this world.but iguess money is more important to the NORTHWEST HERALD than telling the truth to the people of mchenry county.

I am no longer allowed to park at 176 & 14 because the city of crystal lake has an ordinanace that the vehicle has to be moving and not parked for advertisement purposes. So i will do what the city wants and just keep driving around the city and county to get my point across.Anyone can call and give the paper an ear full and just maybe they will do what is right and print my side of this story.

Stop buying the newspaper and reading the paper beacuse they are not willing to print the truth as the paper should.who are they to say that the people of mchnery county do not want to know what the truth is.

in case you drive by viking dodge they have new signs that say new management and all other stuff.DO NOT BE FOOLED THEY ARE STILL THE SAME.

AUTHOR: Peter - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 10, 2009

I too have witnessed the infamous Dodge Magnum parked at the intersection. I have always been interested in the story behind this. In 2007, my wife was looking for a new car. She was really interested in the Dodge Caliber. Living in Marengo, the nearest Dodge dealership was Benoy Dodge in Woodstock. They gave us a fair price on one of the vehicles they had in their lot, and we decided to go get lunch to think it over. As we went to Crystal Lake for lunch, we decided to stop in at Viking Dodge to see if they had any that met her criteria, and what they would be willing to do to get our business away from Benoy.

After about 20 minutes, they came back with their "best" offer. It was considerably more expensive than Benoy. We had told them that if they weren't able to do any better, that we would like our keys back so we could leave. (They had taken my wife's Nissan for a test drive and were evaluating it for trade in purposes.) The salesman refused to give us our keys back. He told us to sit down and we could talk about it some more.

I am not sure who it was, but another employee (poss a "better" salesman or floor manager....I honestly can not remember) showed up and began to offer to rework the numbers. "We'll do whatever we can to get you in this car today" I recall him saying. My wife and I continued to tell this new employee that we were not interested and that we wanted the keys to our vehicle returned so we could leave, still to no avail.

I stood up to leave and this man put his hand on my shoulder and told me to sit down. I became infuriated at this time and suggested that he better remove his hand before something bad happened to him. At this time, he told me to calm down, just calm down. There was no reason to get upset. I told him that reason began as soon as he touched me. Afterwards, it took me telling them that I worked not only for the city of Crystal Lake, but directly in line with the police department to see my car keys again. Since that incident, I have made sure to go out of my way to tell anyone who was interested in buying a car to steer clear of Viking Dodge.

Now that they are closing, that's one less place to worry about for unsuspecting consumers.

Samaras has room to talk

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, May 09, 2009

As a former salesperson at Viking Dodge, I found it odd that Mr. Samaras would use the word 'juvenile' to describe Mr. Beto's actions. Is this the same Mr. Samaras who once said that it was my job to open the customer's legs and his job to f'em? Who once referred to a female customer behind her back as Mrs. B-job? Not exactly the vocabulary of a successful, mature businessman. I left the dealership after only 4 months and still refer to it as the worst job I ever had. In closing, I wish Wayne Beto luck in his ongoing battle. If his actions have stopped one person from buying a vehicle there, it is not in vain.

Witness to Intimidation on Sept. 1

AUTHOR: Gusmeister - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, September 26, 2008

I personally witnessed the intimidation of Wayne by Viking Dodge employees that is described above in Wayne's 9/1/2007 report. I was driving by and saw three large Dodge pick-up trucks parked inches from Wayne's Magnum. One was behind, one was in front, and one was on the left side between Wayne's car and the roadway. By the time I turned around, parked in a safe spot and walked to Wayne's car, a Crystal Lake police officer was there. A report is on file with the Crystal Lake (Ill.) Police Department.

When the officer had everything under control, I asked him to ticket two of the Dodge pick-up trucks, because neither had a license plate. It is unlawful to operate a motor vehicle on the roadway without a registration plate or a dealer plate. Rather than writing a ticket, he said he would telephone his sergeant. Within minutes two Viking Dodge salesmen crossed the street, carrying dealer plates.

The influence of Viking Dodge on the City of Crystal Lake is clear. They collect large amounts of sales/use tax from purchases of cars and sales tax on parts and repairs. Just like it was for Dean Witter, when they speak, the City and Crystal Lake P.D. listen.

I was also there on the day that a managerial employee escorted the costumed mascot out to the curb and told him to stand in Wayne's way. I heard him tell the kid in the costume, "You stand in front of him (Wayne). When he moves, you move." To the kid's credit, he didn't.

What I think Mr. Samaris doesn't understand is that something serious transpired in his dealership that got Wayne so mad that he has picketed Viking Dodge for two years. His employees have escalated the matter. They work for him; he must know what they are doing. One of his employees was arrested and convicted of stealing Wayne's signs. Let the facts speak for themselves.

Mr. Samaris thinks that Wayne's reaction to whatever happened at his dealership is worth $500,000. That's amount he is asking for in his lawsuit against Wayne. The trial may start on February 2, 2009, or Viking Dodge may ask the judge for yet one more continuance. I understand they may have already asked for and received 11-13 continuances. What are they waiting for?

When I first met Wayne and asked what was going on, he explained it clearly, unemotionally, and logically, and he stuck to the facts.

I sold cars for two months in Denver in 1986. Those were the worst two months of my life. That new-car dealership's philosophy was that, if a poor person in an old pick-up truck had a flat tire in front of the dealership and came in to use a phone to call for help, he really came in to buy a new truck! They tried to prove that to me one day, and they actually got the guy into a new truck and sent him on his way. Three days later, the truck was back on the lot!

So you want to know the truth?......

AUTHOR: Jim Samaras - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, September 22, 2008

Viking Dodge has not responded to Wayne Beto's allegations here on RipOffReport as his behavior and antics are so bizarre we did not wish to get into a back and forth exchange on a website that neither verifies the information being posted, nor removes false information that is posted by its' members. The facts, however, are that for over two years Wayne Beto has continued with his juvenile antics and will apparently will continue to do so. To understand the lunacy of Wayne's allegations and claims, you need to start at the beginning.

Wayne Beto has purchased three vehicles from Viking Dodge, including the Dodge Magnum he has turned into a clown car. When placed under oath, Mr. Beto stated that he was totally satisfied with and every purchase he made at Viking Dodge and had no complaints whatsoever regarding the vehicles purchased or the terms of the transactions. He was a satisfied customer.

Mr. Beto's current gripe stems from his claim that Viking Dodge ordered a new car for him, cancelled the order and then LIED to him about cancelling the order. The TRUTH, as Wayne likes to pretend to talk about is that in March of 2006 he came into the dealership and wanted to trade out of the Magnum and into a brand new offering Dodge had just come out with, a new Caliber. Since the dealership did not have the exact one on the lot at the time, Mr. beto was shown a copy of an "advance shipper" which had on it a Caliber ordered by Viking that was scheduled to be built and shipped within the next month or so as a stock order for Viking Dodge. Unbeknownst to Viking Dodge, the FACTORY cancelled all dealer stock orders due to production problems and replaced them with the same orders albeit with different order numbers on them.

At some point Mr. Beto and his son came to the dealership to have some sevice work done on the Magnum. While they were there, Mr. Beto's son went to the sales desk to inquire as to the whereabouts of the car that his father, Wayne Beto, had wanted from the "advance shipper", or as Mr. Beto likes to say, "ordered". Because Mr.Beto never actually ordered a vehicle, never paid for a vehicle and never put a deposit down on a vehicle, there was no order form contained in the files with Mr. Beto's name on it. Therefor, the salesperson dealing with Mr. Beto's son, told him there was no order. They commenced to accuse Viking Dodge of lying to them and became very belligerent. The two of them will tell you that they were perfect gentlemen and that it was the Viking Dodge employees and management which were belligerent with them but it just did not happen that way. Viking Dodge is in the business of selling new and used motor vehicles. There is no legitimate reason in the world why we would refuse to deliver, cancell an order, or in any way not try to accomodate Mr. Beto's wishes to purchase a vehicle of his choice.

Following this altercation, Mr. Beto started with the signs on his vehicle, claiming that Viking Dodge lies. His claim is that Viking Dodge lied to him about the Caliber he had ordered. When first seen at the corner of Route 14 and 176, I went over and discussed the matter with Mr. Beto, explained to him what happened and further explained that the vehicle he was interested in was currently on our lot. Mr. Beto would have none of this as he felt he had been wronged and preferred to spend his time on a personal crusade.

So that is Viking Dodge's side of the story with regards to Mr. Beto. I'm sure he will disagree with the events as stated, will continue to state that he was a perfect gentleman and would never act in such a way as to have a business ask that he leave the premises. So don't just take my word for it, feel free to ask the businesses located around Viking Dodge as to their experiences with Mr. Beto.

The truth of the matter is that Mr. Beto believes that if he harasses Viking Dodge for a long enough period of time, we will turn around and give him a free car. In fact, he has stated that this is what he wants. That is not going to happen! Our dealership has been here for over 30 years and has served the public well over that time and will continue to do so. Some of the other posts I have read here fail to tell the entire story and quite frankly, are not worth responding to. Suffice it to say, that not everyone who purchases a new or used vehicle is happy a week after the prchase no matter what dealership they shop at. Given the volume of vehicles sold by Viking Dodge over the years, a few nay sayers are always expected. Viking Dodge is 5 Star dealership based upon customer satisfaction and approval. Any questions on this subject, or any other you may have, I would be happy to answer by telephone or in person. With our response having been made, we wish Mr. Beto the best of luck and truly hope he finds what he is looking for.

the next court date is jan 10 th we are now in the process of depostitions. i expect on the next court date we are trying to get a jury trial. on nov 8 th i was issued a ticket for a local sign ordinance violation, but viking dodge was just given a chance to remove theres and not be given a ticket as was i.

i asked the police officer who issued this ticket to me and showed him how viking was also in violation and he refused to give them a ticket.

i believe this is unfair, and for days leading up to this there were nermous complaints made to the police dept and the bldg dept and nothing has been done. i have gone to the city of crystal lake and trying to find out why viking seems to be above the law.

once the weather clears and my safety is no longer at risk i will be back again. check out woodstockadvocate to see more stories about this.

Put An Ad In The Biggest Newspaper In Your City That Says...

AUTHOR: Karl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, September 03, 2007

Put an ad in another Newspaper or in the Herald that simply says this:

GO TO: ripoffreport.com and type in DODGE

That small, simple, display ad WILL cost that Dealership THOUSANDS of dollars in lost sales. You can also mail your ripoffreport to all the News Stations in your town and to all the News Stations listed in the Rebuttal area of the story on RICHMOND TOYOTA over on the Toyota Page of this site.

Keep yourself updated by going to the Toyota Page. Something BIG is going to happen. Toyota is going to be EXPOSED on National T.V.

Google the two words ENGINE SLUDGE and Google the three words SEXUAL HARASSMENT TOYOTA and go to baltimoresettlement.com and go to 9news.com and type in ORNELAS and search the story that made the FRONT PAGE of the Denver Post on 5-19-2005 and watch the Video!

A simple LETTER did all of that. I know this because I wrote that letter and 9News RESPONDED! 9News IS the BEST News Station in the USA!!! Do not give up, and make sure to send your story to 9News, Fox 31 News, Dateline NBC & 60 Minutes. You won't regret it!!

Keep watching Toyota's stock too. You can check it by typing in TM. What goes up, must come down. The OPINIONS of the events that will transpire in the near future WILL drive Toyota's stock DOWN!!

Quote: 'Events don't cause corporations to collapse. It's the OPINIONS of the events that trigger the collapse.' - Harvard Business Professor. (the OPINIONS of the events also move a corporation's stock. Positive opinions move it up, negative opinions move it DOWN!)

By placing that small ad in one or more of your Local Newspapers, you can DEVASTATE that Dodge Dealership's sales. The TRUTH will prevail. You cannot give up. Just Do It!!!!

on august 31 i went to crystal lake village hall and spoke to them about there sign ordinance on vehicles.they are well aware that viking is going against there request to have there signs moved on to there property not state or easment.
i went over and parked at my usual spot at 176 & 14 and displayed my sign( not on vehicle) just holding it.after being there for awhile a ford f25 grey in color parked in front of me and the driver decided to back up in front of my car.i originally thought he was coming to talk to me about viking. that was right he got out of his truck and started yelling at me for parking there etc.
a couple of minutes went by and he left.a short time later 4 more trucks parked at my spot and blocked me in and all the drivers got out locked the trucks and ran back to viking dodge. mind you one parked 18 inches from my front bumper another 18 from my back bumper. the other 2 parked on both sides of me boxing my car from leaving. i was panicked and walked in the roadway and put my hands up. i called my son and he in turn called the crystal lake police department.
when the police arrived they saw what happened and forced viking dodge to move there trucks. the police have stated i am not doing anything wrong and have every right to be there. what viking was doing was concedered intimidation. a young lady and gentlemen stopped and made sure everything was ok and voiced there opinion that viking needs to stop doing what they are doing.
if anyone thinks that viking has changed new management they are completely ignorant. suggestion stay as far away as possible from them. tell everyone they know as well.
It also seems that the northwest herald is afraid to print any stories in regaurds to viking because they spend so much money to advertise. I guess the almighty dollar really is more important than telling the truth and letting the people of mchenry county know how they operate.

i am going to court against viking dodge august 30 th to get a jury trial to move forward with my issue.for those of you who have not seen me around lately i went fishing for awhile.i have spoken to the northwest herald and they have told me that they will not print my story, for the people of mchenry county to see.i believe that it is because they are afraid viking will pull there advertisemnet from there paper.
i am asking all of you to not buy or read the paper for the fact that they will not od this story because it is not interesting enough for the people to know about. how is it the paper can not print the news.i have notified the northwest herald that if they use my name at all i will take corrective action to handle this situation.
