Walmart Connect ripoff high speed internet access Fort Campbell Kentucky Internet

I used walmart connect for a couple of weeks in between moving and getting high speed internet access. Once I obtained the high speed access, I contacted walmart connect to cancel my account. The woman on the phone said that I would receive 2 free months access to walmart connect and after that, my account would be cancelled and I would not be charged again. That was August 18, 2004.

A week later I received a letter from them thanking me for choosing walmart connect and settint up an account with them. I called them again and once again, they assured me that I would not be charged, that the letter was just a formailty and I could simply ignore it.

Here is is October 29, 2004 and I was looking through my bank statement and they have again charged me on October 21 for another month of service. I called them again, the man on the phone said he would cancel my account but wanted to give me a month of free access. I said no, cancel the account because I do not want this happening again and I want a credit for what I was charged. He said he cancelled the account as of today and I would receive a confirmation letter stating that. I asked when I would see the credit on my account and he said I would not receive a credit because I should have called them sooner than 9 days after I was charged. How is that possible when the bank statements don't usually get sent to people until the end of the month? I just happened to see it on line, so I haven't even received my paper statement yet.

They are refusing to refund me money that I should have never been charged in the first place. I highly recommend never using walmart connect for internet access. It might be cheap but when you cancel your account, they really don't cancel it for you no matter how much they assure you it is canceled and you won't be charged.
