Walmart Employee abuse, and wrongful termination ripoff Park City Utah

The beginning..

I transfered to the walmart in park city utah from the one in my home town.

I was a cart runner, and was told that my position would be the same.

For starters, it was not. But that is not the problem.

First, instead of the hour lunch you are supposed to have, mine was cut to 30 minutes. they claimed that all employees did this, and you got to leave 30 minutes early for taking a 30 minute lunch.

Well this was not so for me, when I was able to take a full 30 minutes(they would constantly harass me to come back earlier, same for my 15 minute breaks)I still had to stay and work my full 8 hours. I didn't get to leave like I was supposed to.

Then there was the strange customer service, and other duties I had to perform. Bringing items down from layway, which wouldn't have been a problem. But many of these items required two people to carry and of course, I am not two people. Help was never given dispite my requests.

Sometimes carts would be in places they weren't supposed to be. The store was near the freeway, and somehow a cart had gotten across the freeway and into another store's parking lot. they wanted me to cross the freeway ON FOOT and get this cart. I explained that I did not feel safe doing so, and was written up for this.

And the WORST thing, they had me go to a customer's house to unload something. Made me clock out of course. I could not believe this. but I did not want to get written up so I went. Who knows what could have happened. I did not get to take my vehicle had to ride with the customer.

I decided to buy a car, and guess what, about two weeks after this, I was fired. Why? Because they felt I was not happy there. THAT is what I was told.

I was the only african american at the store. and I don't want to think that was the reason I was treated this way, but you never know.

That to this day, had been my worse work experience.
