This company is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I called them four days before my payment was due to request an extension. I was told I would have to pay $50 for this extension; then paperwork would be faxed to me to sign confirming the extension agreement. I faxed it back and made the payment. A week later when I went to start up my car to go to work; it didn't turn over. Seems that WFI had the IVR DEVICE ACTIVATED ON MY VEHICLE. I called them only to get the run around about how someone forgot to process my paperwork and still had me in the system owing that month payment!!!! Talk about PISSED OFF!! Don't do business with them. You have been warned!!!!

EVERYONE falls on hard times regardless of CREDIT HISTORY!

AUTHOR: tav72 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, December 15, 2012

There are SEVERAL companies out here right now who are placing these electronic devices on people's vehicles. And it has NOTHING to do with your credit history. The economy is in such a rut that many of these companies have taken a loss because of people being OUT OF WORK. So in turn these people find it difficult to make their payments and some try and hide the vehicle to prevent it from being repo'd. SOME OF US try and be HONEST and contact the company so as to work out a situation to STAY CURRENT on our payments. So why are we still being SUBJECTED TO POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and treated like a THIEF if we are not hiding anything and trying to resolved the issue??? What's the point of affording your customer the opportunity to get an extension to stay CURRENT WITH PAYMENTS if your not going to HONOR IT?? Bottom line is someone at Western Funding Inc DROPPOED THE BALL and DIDN'T DO THEIR JOB OF PROCESSING MY PAPERWORK!

Yes...Don't Do Business With Them!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

This loan company is a SUBPRIME lender.  People don't CHOSE to be financed by them, they are PLACED with them because of their self developed REPUTATION for NOT paying their bills on time.  Most SUBPRIME borrowers NEVER change their ways and end up being hounded by collectors and eventually being repo'ed.  The first steps toward that is asking for numerous extensions and changing payment dates.  Because these SUBPRIME lenders don't trust their borrowers because of the documented reputation of those borrowers, they place these shut off devices into the cars.   At this point, you're NOT dealing with "customer service"...you're dealing with BILL COLLECTORS.  In addition to the horrendous fee of $50, did they explain to you the possibility of you needing to pay more interest?  Did you read the faxed agreement?  My point to all this is you don't need to live this way!  You don't need to deal with this type of people!  If you are having problems making ends meet, that's easy to understand and easy to fix...supplement your income with a part time job.  This experience with these people can be a continued step down or YOU can decide to change your financial life forever by paying your bills on time, everytime.  Only you can break the mold of the average subprime borrower...ONLY YOU.
