I purchased a WTW8800YW CABRIO SERIES 4.6 CU. FT. washer on Decmeber 31, 2012.  I arrived at my location towards the end of January.  Was installed in end of May.  We went to use the first time and it flooded our floor, making a horrible mess.  Whirlpool sent a Aries Repair from Pleasanton out to repair the unit.  They told us that the drum had a crack in it.

I called Whirlpool after Aries gave us the run around multiple times.  Whirlpool finally located the part (with the help of a supervisor).  They had originally told me they had no idea of when I could expect this part.  Imagine a brand new unit, and never getting to use it.  Now going on seven weeks.

*
Side Note: When called Whirlpool, Aries had listed a serial number and model number to another washer.  Not mine.  I had to prove to Whirlpool that the washer I was talking about was the one that needed service.  This was an ordeal and a half.  Where they got the other serial and model number we don't know.  But finally we got it straightened.

We waited over seven weeks, after calling Aries and Whirlpool multiple times.  I was told six weeks in by a supervisor they had a part and would over-night it.  When I followed up the next week after hearing nothing, I was told they didn't have that documented and it was coming standard shipping.  So Aries comes and replaces the drum.

We go to use the unit and it throws an F51 code and won't spin.  So I call Whirlpool again.  This time they are going to have someone come out on Monday.  We are now going on eight weeks for a brand new washer that we haven't got to use once at this point.  We talk.  I give the gal all the information and she says is this at a business location.  I said it's the same location it's been.  She says well that voids the warranty, you will have to pay for the service call.  Excuse me.

First off, they had been out and working on this machine.  Not to mention it's brand new and never been used.  Have you heard of the lemon law?  I asked, she said, sorry and hung the phone up on me!  To which about an hour later the service man who they scheduled called me up.  He proceed to chew me out for cancelling, and did I know this was an old unit.  I told him, no I just purchased and it's not.  It's a newer style as I verified.  No he said, and shame on me for trying to snooker Whirlpool.  I am thinking I am being taped on candid camera.  How could this be? This is brand new, it's never worked!  I can't phathom the fact that you don't stand behind a product that has never ran the first time!

So I try again to contact Whirlpool, explaining this is new.  I understand their policy, but this have never worked the first time.  Whether it's in a business or residence, doesn't matter at this point, as it's never ran a cycle through once!!!!

I called Aries appliance back and asked them about their customer service and quality control.  They replied it's up to Whirlpool to tell us to come out again.  I exclaimed, yes, but you never fixed it!  Sorry, not our problem!

I own my own company, and we stand for quality and customer service.  I can't imagine, not standing behind a product that has never worked.  No matter what the policy is, I would use my head and see that how can I stand on that when the machine is a lemon from the start!

I own multiple whirlpool washers, about 14 in different areas.  I will never buy Whirlpool again, nor will I have one nice thing to say, as I have been taken!  Why not stick someone with a bad unit and keep there $1000 plus dollars, this is what Whirlpool stands for!
