Scam artists from RI and MA had created a new term 'zentangle' to rename and sell wide Nadia Russ' artistic invention NeoPopRealism, unique artistic technique and art style she created in 1989 and announced internationally January 4, 2003, when she created this term - NeoPopRealism.
In 2004, crooks also recklessly created a trademark "red square" for the paper they sell in their teaching kits. They thought of the Moscow's Red Square - Nadia Russ came to USA from Moscow, they were 100% sure she will never find out about their theft. Everything in scammers website is smooth and suggest visitors an idea of notability that they are striving for respect, education, working hard to improve this society and human lives in general. They went internationally preparing "certified teachers", publishing little books, making seminars... Their web site says no word about Nadia Russ, the real Inventor of the art style and art technique they promote and sell to grannies and children worldwide.

But if you are professional in visual arts, you will immediately understand that there is no artistic qualities' presence in their "innovative art" designs, and no serious person/artist will learn from them - their website or their booklets. These are the average craftsmens corners, where craftsmen-copycats make ridiculous statements that they are inventors of art form. Imagine how it can impress common grannies and children!

There's the dark story behind all that.
First presentation of renamed and simplified NeoPopReaism's invention was in RI. But NeoPopRealism first appeared in RI much earlier, in 2002, when Nadia Russ passed to David T. Shwaery eleven her ink drawings to exhibit them there. He didn't exhibit them, he had another plans for this art style, more personal Then, in 2002, Nadia Russ also left to David T. Shwaery (President of Pawtucket Arts Council, RI) a series of her original canvases to exhibit them in RI. Two weeks later, Clifford Cone, D.T. Shwaery partner, said that her canvases "were demolished accidentally by contractors who came to repair their property. It was not true. Multi-millionaire, David Thomas Shwaery could easily afford Nadia Russ' artworks, but it was not in his plans...
Many months later, under peoples pressure, Shwaery and Cone returned Nadia Russ her artworks.
The following years, she, her humanistic projects and idea of NeoPopRealism were constantly attacked online for, seemed, no reason. She was bombed by tremendous number of the anonymous spayware/malware infected emails daily. Not only was attacked, all her ideas and projects were copied, step-by-step, by these individuals since 2003 till present. Even recently, December 2011, author of Zentangle books Suzanne McNeill purchasing Nadia Russ' instructional books on how to draw NeoPopRealism ink images...

Nadia Russ created a word NeoPopRealism and announced her invention worldwide in January, 2003.
In 2004, copycats created a new term to rename NeoPopRealism. And NeoPopRealism art style under another name (and with low artistic qualities) was presented to the public in RI with Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas as "inventors".

Interesting thing is: Copycats are not artists, they are just "inventors" and they cannot execute any decent ink drawing, this is why they draw very simple backgrounds/ designs which Nadia Russ has used as the backdrop in her ink drawings.

Copycats' parade began.
President of Arts Council, David Thomas Shwaery was bombing Nadia Russ with anonymous, spyware-infected emails, asking for brainstorms because copycats couldnt move forward without fresh and innovative thinking... Also, to prosper, dulls had to ruin the top art origin - NeoPopRealism and all Nadia Russ activities; they were trying to replace it with their childish, craftsmen's substitute. Many years Nadia Russ lived like in a war zone. David Thomas Shwaery
repeated Nadia Russ: You will go nowhere. Always successful and supported by majority, she couldn't understand what he meant, and why would arts' "authority" decided to stop her from doing nice things.

Nadia Russ didnt know anything about this crooked project that was running behind her back until June4, 2011. She found out about the craftsmen-copycats through a little booklet, published by craftsmen's publishing company "Design Originals - www.d-originals.com. This booklet was teaching the basics of the NeoPopRealism ink drawing and was telling that this style was invented by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas.

NeoPopRealism Journal's (http://neopoprealismjournal.wetpaint.com) team immediately sent emails to the fake inventors, craftsmen's publishing company Design Originals, and "zentangle certified teachers" (some of them are authors of teaching booklets that they sell through Amazon- Sandy Steen Bartolomew, Marie Browning, Suzanne McNeill) informing them that what they do misappropriating. But ignorance has no limits. Corrupted, they continue lie and steal looking into peoples eyes with innocent face expression.

Glorified doodling

AUTHOR: Dani - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, November 12, 2013

Neopoprealism, Zentangle, "flow," or whatever you want to call it, it's all just doodling and not real art. It's not impressive. Anybody can do it and get good at it with little instruction or education. There are plenty of free sites and YouTube tutorials that teach doodling/Zentangle/etc. patterns. Don't let this company swindle you into purchasing this garbage.

zentangle? neopoprealism?both bs

AUTHOR: ThelogicalRealist - ()

POSTED: Sunday, May 12, 2013

I have been doing my own style of artwork for about 8 years now, I picked this up when my mother would be talking on the phone and she would doodle. I would watch and always like her littl designs but I always wanted her to expand on it more. As I matured with my own artistic abilities I began to do the same thing she did but with more details and form to it. I call my art 'flow' mainly because I is a mixture of shapes 3d and 2d on paper or canvas. Even though everything is different it still flows together like oil in water, the clouds, buildings, organic and inorganic. Zentangle my be a rip off from nadia russ, but nadia russ's work is primative and any person with a pen or brush could duplicate the easy lines and incredible simple designs. And zentangle is more like pattern oriented a little like a circle or some other beginning. Some similarities, but there are also similarities between squares and rectangles. The point is that almost all styles of art can be conncted one way or another. Zentangles at least look more thought out and artistic, Nadia Russ' work or "neopoprealism" (total bs) all the work she did was coming up with that artsy sounding name to sell her 3rd grade art class assignments. My work is differnet from both the reason I responded to this I because my mom said my art style had name called zentangle, but it is similiar but anyone can do zentangle. I don't believe just anyone could do the flow of all kinds of artificial and original shapes and ideas in my own work. Also I am not saying my work is any better and obviously I am not a successful artist so my opionion means little. But, in my opinion in the art world its more about who you know and your ability to make something up to make the work sound more ecentric, unfotunately its not always about the artists actual talent. Bottom line is that all art styles referenced her are very similiar to acient styles from Egypt to China and a lot of early north and south American indian tribes.
