Our firm was almost taken by David Anderson also.  He claims to be with Spectrum Financial 

address 11021 Winners Circle, # 103, Los Alamitos, CA  90720. Phone 714-482-6749.  Upon approval of our lease finance package, we were supposed to send him a check for 3119.44 before funding.  Of course, this threw up a huge red flag.  We started to investigate beyond the letterhead and authentic looking lease agreement into David Anderson and Spectrum.  I even questioned him via email about the firms EIN number and Secretary of State filings which I could not find anywhere.  He claimed that Spectrum was one of the largest Privately held firms.  

Okay, but what does that have to do with the corporations filing with the secretary of states in either New York, Chicago or California.  All states in which he claims Spectrum has offices.  If you research Spectrum Financial there is a Spectrum, with the same logo as that which David Anderson sent us.  The logo simply appears on the left side of their name and he put his on the right.  Colors are even the same.  We pressed him for proof.  NOTHING.  Simply told us that our approval would be valid for 14 more days.
