I have been using magioc jack for a few years and have three devices in good stand , just baught a new device for 69.99 plus tax and intended to register it on line for my wife but I made a terrible mistake tryng to include my wife's name and paid one dollar insurance using my own credit card.. immediately magic jack put all my three working numbers under review and when i contacted them they have never give me a reason of what may have happened .. all they say is that its under review with a different department but they NEVER allow me to contact that department the claim it exist !! have tried 5 different times with their live chat customer service agents and all i hear is to wait for an email !!!! its now 17 days , 5 ttempts to contact magicjack , waste of time as i spend about 45 minutes each time with an agent who do nothing but tell me its under review and have to wait !!!!!!

magic jack refuse to tell me whats wrong with my account , neither they let me speak toa live agent whome i mae be able to get more information from , they make things look like a national secirity matter !!!! they not hoest, not clear , not willing to solve a problem , vague, phishy all of the above..I asked for a refund for my device and they refuse , asked for NY statae department of consumer affairs to file a complaint and they cliamed they don't have the number even though they are required by law to furnish that number to consumers shoudl they ask for it ... magicjack also claimed that they dont have a toll free number which is another violation as they should have a toll free number being a corporation ..

I will contact NYS department of consumer affairs and let them know that magic jack have denyed the service to me and they put my numbers  under review and have not give a reason or explain whay did they do that and they gave me no chance to be aware of any issue they may have with my name or numbers ..I am so worried and have so many concerns and magic jack does not cooperate or make me aware of any concerns they sure have .

not an open door policy ,,i feel my civil rights have been violated and will concider suing magic jack for their poor performance and denying service to me .

 Especially that part about your "civil" rights. God I almost sprayed coffee all over my monitor. I mean really now. Even I can see that they suspect fraud and thats why your account is on hold. It is not "Illegal" for them to ONLY provide one way to access thier customer service. Its actually pretty funny when you step back and look at it. Your account was "red flagged" because they need to protect thier customers from someone accessing thier account and making changes. And you get butthurt by this.

Listen its real easy to explain why you can only reach them by email. YOU CANT BULLSHIT A CS REP THROUGH EMAIL!!!! If they talked to you over the phone then you might be able to swindle them. Going through email protects all parties involved. But then again Im betting you dont care about that. You need to resolve this through the echat and thats the end of the story. Oh sure you can call whichever regulatory agency you like. It still isnt going to change the fact that your account has been flagged for fraud. Its all automated and no actual ppl have either accessed your account or approved the hold. A computer did. Given these ppl have to handle hundreds of issues a day, its the hieght of Ego to presume that they are working your problem exclusivly. Go through the CORRECT Process and get your lines going again.

You really cant fix stupid.
