manton towing and maintence manton trucking nonpayment for freight hauled Internet

called ad and spoke with nick sheppard and after sending paperwork was hired as owner operator by manton trucking drove to philly signed contract and picked up trailer no preemployment drug test  after geting to nh i was contacted by roman and sons trucking of nj nick gave him my number mr roman stated that he wanted his trailer returned and he was reporting it stolen he then stated that manton owed him a lot of money after talking he let me finish my run and we met at mantons as agreed i then had to demand the drug test so i would be in compliance nick told me i would be charged for my preemployment drug test  i then met with b tarlton owner and or president of manton trucking and he stated he would deposit money into my account in a day or two that never happened i then was told to take other trailer but brakes were out of adjustment i adjusted brakes and next day noyices slack adjusters were bad brakes would back off 5 turns in 1 day nick said stop wining after a couple of days still no money in my account but all loads were deliverd after spending 3000 dollars i ran out of money nick showed up at last stop and demanded all paperwork when i asked about some money he stated he had no say in that and to call b tarlton who is always unavailable i had no money for fuel and tolls and was told to drop trailer at mantons i did nick then informed me that i had quit and to deal with byron tarlton who for weeks said check was in the mail he will not answer or return any calls and has told me nothing but still no paycheck he refuses to honer his contract but has been paid by the brokers i called them directly and mantons called me and told me to get a lawyer for slander but still no money i have to file in court get a lawyer to recover my money i cant make ins or truck payment but they profit by not paying and not honering their contract how can this company even be allowed to operate in this manner turns out this is common manton trucking practice i am 1 of many before and sadly some after all drivers beware as they will not pay you will haul freight for free be lied to and use unsafe equip bewarned and beware
