I am in desparate need for a loan. I wanted a company that is willing to give me a chance with my challenged credit. I looked on the internet and found this company's website. I applied and then received a phone call back from a Ms. Leann Harding (financial consultant). She faxed me some papers to sign and faxed back to her.

She told me that I have been approved for a loan amount of $5000 with a fixed interest rate of 8% and my monthly payment would be $101.98 over the duration of 5 years. She also said that I need to put up $900 for insurance. I told her I get paid in a couple of days and then I would be able to send the money.

The day came and she told me to western union the money to a Darren Miller in Taber, New Brunswick, Canada. She told me that my loan would be in my bank account the next day. Well the next day passed, and I then received another phone call from her saying that they gave me the wrong rate and I need to send $700 to the same person. She said I will get it in 90 min for the inconvenience.

Well, I was in a desparate need for the loan, so I borrowed the money from my aunt and promised to give her the money back when I get the loan. I sent the $700 on 2/20 and on the next day I didn't get it. I called on 2/21 at about 2 and a Maurice Gripps answered the phone and said that she was not in. He said that he took care of everything and there was a delay problem and I will have the money overnite.

The money never posted to my account. I called again on 2/22 Friday, no answer, again the next Monday 2/25. I emailed the company and left voice messages. Then finally on Tuesday at 5:15pm, she answered the phone and I told her I didn't get the loan. She said that she would call me back in 5 minutes to see what the problem was. After 10 min, I called back and got the voice mail and I left her a message demanded a refund.

As of today, I still don't have the loan. I'm unable to reach anybody. The 2 phone numbers (3018613681 & 8664572939) on their website rings then goes to an automated voice mail system. I called her number and get her voice mail with her own voice. I looked at the website today (1stunitedfinanicalinc.com) and the address has changed from Oxon Hill, MD to Washington, DC and on the bottom of the application page there is a link to the DC bbb, which is not right because the phone number on that website is disconnected.

I feel so stupid now. They got me at a very vunerable state. I am very desparate to get a loan to get caught up on my bills and rent. Now this just put me further behind. Do not trust 1st United Financial like I did.
