7-Eleven slurpee promo rip-off Litchfield, New Hampshire

Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...
My son and I went into the 7-Eleven in Litchfield with a promo cup we had
bought from there a few months ago. Refills were supposed to be regular
price after the promo cup had been purchased. When we got to the register we were charged for the promo cup ($3.99) and for the promo straw we had
also brought in ($.99) - not the refill price, but full price for the
promo cup and straw. The clerk was agitated with us when I protested.
Not wanting to get shot, we just paid-up and left. I'll NEVER return.

You bought the cup months before? Maybe they weren't running the same promotion. Was this something that we really need to be warned about?
