Took my car to s.b. aamco to check the a/c for Freon leaks because the a/c went out. took it to them on a Tuesday  around 130 pm  they took the car and told me that they might get to it the same day. they then called around 445 pm to tell me they would get to it first thing the following morning Wednesday which I thought was cool. the next day.. no word so I called the shop around 300pm the lady said they hadn't got to it yet. which i thought to myself this is taking too long.  I just needed a diagnostic at that point. this is my wife's vehicle and she needs the vehicle to take the kids to and from school, but i gave them the benefit of the doubt. Thursday same thing no word from aamco so my wife called them and now they say that they found the leaks but cannot find replacement parts specifically the seals and orifice tube a little screen the size and shape of your pinky. Friday i call them because their office person nicole would only call my wife for approval of the work to be done, tell her one thing and tell me another.  so she then tells me they haven't began the work yet after 2 and a half days but they'll get it done Saturday and we would be able to pick it up then. Guess what saturday comes and no call i call them and they tell me to car will be done i a couple hrs.  i pick up the car and the a/c works for a day if that i call her Monday morning to let her know that the a/c had gone out and i would be bringing the car back. i bring the car in and they keep it another 2 days and tell me that now the compressor to the a/c had blown a seal. and they would fix it  for another 400 dollars after i already spent 486 dollars for them to supposedly find all the leaks in the a/c system. i told her i would not pay that because i specifically brought the car to them to find the leaks in the a/c. i told her that i thought 4hrs of labor to change 8 o rings and fush and fill the a/c system with Freon was excessive and that i would obviously pay for the compressor part but no more on the labor. I've since taken the vehicle to 3 different a/c shops including another aamco for an estimate on changing all the seals orifice tube and to charge the system all three shops estimates were under 250 dollars.  Nicole Cadel you are a liar and a shamless. twirp pawning yourself off as a automotive professional. you should learn your job and learn to do it well. they charge me 4hrs labor at 98 dollars an hr plus parts. 4hrs over 4 days to change 8 o rings and a tube that slides right into place, 4 business days and 32 hrs to change 8 0 rings. what's that 4 a day.  this aamco location is a joke none of the techs are ever in a hurry to do anything. i drive by this place on the way home everyday  and when i look at the techs in the garage there is one guy kinda working and 2 or 3 guys just bull****ting. things take time i know but all the seals are at the top of the motor and easily accessible. this location will over charge you and won't stand by their word or workmanship. avoid these con artists at all cost. other than tat they're ok...lol..

A/C service

OK A/C service "101" first "8-O-RINGS" shouldn't have taken that long now the fix orifice tube being this does happen when not done correctly, I understand you're frustration but when its summer starts certain A/C parts are back ordered and if the dealer has some they're not going to sell it, I know it suck's but that's how it is. now know this after said parts installed the system needs vacuumed down checking that NO leaks are present then add oil&dye&refrigerant to the system insuring NO MORE LEAKS'.

what sounds strange is not replacing a key part called receiver-dryer that looks like an giant "CAN LOOKING" thing "FYI" since its a key part when fixing the A/C system, ask any shop specialising in A/C repair only. I always use a new one why cause it's a key part plus it holds the refrigerent in liquid form ect. since you're A/C isn't working from a so-called blown seal is a lie it's cause the work was done by incompetent shop which didn't do it correctly.
