Alberton Limo Dallas Albert Navifar Deceptive Business. Requested service then disputed charges with credit card to get them for free. Dallas, Texas

I was hired by Albert Navifar to build and promote a website for his company, Alberton Limo Dallas. He operates his business under multiple addresses and websites. Some of them include www.executivelimodallas.com and www.executivetowncarlimodallas.com.

He came to me after explaining that he had been unsatisfied with other website companies and had taken actions to recover his costs from working with them. I might have seen this as a red flag but decided to take him on. 

After completing a website redesign and other work he refused to pay for any more services unless I did not charge him sales tax. Obviously, I couldn't exempt him from paying sales tax as it is a requirement to do so for any business based in Texas. Upon me telling him this, he decided to cancel his service. 

I allowed him to immediately discontinue service and thought that would be the end of it. Two weeks later, I find a credit card chargeback for the entire amount of the work I had originally billed him for. The reason was listed as "item not received". I find it extremely dishonest to have someone complete work for you and then refuse payment because you charge sales tax. 

I find it even more dishonest to file a complaint to your credit card company and receive a refund for past work that has already been completed. I am left feeling that this is a tactic used frequently by Albert to receive business services for free. 

As it is nearly impossible to fight the credit card companies, I will just have to the write off the $500 charge as a loss and use this site as an outlet for any other potential customers or clients who wonder what kind of service they can receive from Albert Navifar.
