Allmand Law Firm is a mockery. The service is very, very poor. Reed Allmand is the principal attorney and his goal is not assist his client, only to take their money.
Please DO NOT retain this firm if you desire good service! When you call Allmand Law, you are given the runaround: "A paralegal will call you within 24 to 48hrs." Don't expect a call back. Why?
Someone who does not understand your inquiry or case will send you a vague email.
Many clients of his are turning to other law firms for legal assistance with their bankruptcy case.
Please note that you do not have to bear the nonsense of Allmand Law Firm. You may request a change of counsel at anytime. You have a right to substitute counsel. In other words, you find a new attorney and request their attorney to resume representation. Most attorneys will not even charge a fee for the substitution. There are loads of bankruptcy attorneys. Look at any Greensheet.
For those who are considering on retaining Allmand Law, you will do better filing pro se (by yourself) because they are not going to bat for you. Choose another firm. Look at all the bad reviews. That place is horrible.

Allmand Law Really Helped Me

I recently used Allmand Law Firm during an eviction hearing. There were about 50 people in Judge Payton's courtroom all waiting for their individual hearing. As I waited, I saw that they were all being evicted within six days. I had been too sick to move out and was hoping for a small reprieve to get my belongings packed to go. The people in front of me had retained attorneys as well.
I was the only one who got the reprieve for 30 days, which was plenty to get out. The others were allowed no quarter. The advice their attorneys gave them was useless. Needless to say, I am a loyal fan of Allmand Law. Mr Dexter had informed me exactly how the hearing would go and he was exactly right. The attorneys with this firm tell clients the truth about their situations and how best to relieve their financial problems. The work is then reviewed by another attorney who specializes in your particular situation.
They are a seasoned group of professionals. Who could ask for more? Well, just one more thing. they let you pay out your debt according to your financial ability. I give them an A+.
