Amy Heitland Amy Heitland Horse Trader---SOUNDNESS ISSUE! NOT TRUE TO HER WORD! Sheffield , Iowa

We went to Amy's home and she showed us a few horses. We watched them saddle and ride and then we rode as well. The horse we liked had a scrape on him, but she swore up and down he was sound..we are not inexperienced horse people and could not see any lameness what so ever.  We picked that horse, wrote the check and picked it up the next day. We rode him in an indoor arena for a few days and took him trail riding. After about a week, he started stumbling all over the place. He had a hard time getting up after laying down. When you went to step up on him, he would lay down. We had the vet come out and look him over. We got her opinion and then took him a well-known vet clinic and had x-rays done. This horse had 3 vertebrae that were practically crushed and it was not a new injury. I e-mailed Amy (she would NEVER answer the phone) and I told her what happened. She simply replied that the horse was fine when he left her place. I asked her to make things right with us and she would not respond. Is this how she treats people after screwing them over and dumping her problem horses?! I understand a vet check MAY have found this injury, but it was obvious he was either drugged up or something was going on when we tried him out. Now we are stuck with a crippled horse in pain and have no outlet to get rid of him. I will not stick someone else with this problem!
