Don't plan on using the Great Wolf Lodge promotion....not sure about other offers. The rules make it so it's basically impossible to use. 

If you have kids and want to go to the waterpark, don't plan on getting a date in the summer. You'll need to take your two day vacation during the school year and during the school week. You might be able to get a single night on a weekend. Maybe.

Here's how it works: you pay your $100 deposit and a few weeks later, the website opens up to you so you can register online. They want you to choose 3 possible dates. They give you give you a choice of 3 possible first choice dates, and let you choose a second one that's 60 days later and another 60 days after that. (So if your first choice is in the summer, your second will be two onths later.)

Then they'll send you an email 45 days prior to your first date with a phone number saying to call to check your date. If that date isn't available (and ours wasn't), they'll give you ONE alternate date. It's months away. You can't get second possible date.

If you take that date and need to change it later, you can only change it once with a change fee of $44 but remember---> that changed date will also be months away from your planned date. If you don't take the offered date right then and there on that first phone call (like if you have to chaeck with your spouse or your boss), you will need to pay $30 when you call back to take that date if it's still available.

Oh. And they take your name and your kids names and the vacation is non-transferable.

SO MAKE SURE both you and your spouse and your calendar is at hand before you make the call.
