Anderson Nissan is a company of trained sales and finance people. These people must have jumped for joy when we came through the door. A couple of saps just waiting to get taken advantage of. And we were. We bought a car we hate, we financed it for higher interest rate than we could have gotten at a bank, we traded our car for almost nothing, we bought an extended warranty we didn't need and we will never go there again for anything.

We are planning to sell our car as soon as possible so that we don't have to look at it in the driveway and remember how stupid we are. Be prepared. These people are ruthless. Their main objective is to make money and they will do it at all costs. Why are car dealerships not held to the standards of other businesses? These people are devious and sneaky. The finance guy kept talking about how he was always in church. We wonder what kind of church he attends and if they know how he does business. He is on the fast track to H-E double toothpicks. We will buy our next car anyplace except Anderson Nissan and we suggest you do the same.

Wrong

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, November 22, 2010

The OP will continue to make mistakes. How do I know? "We are planning to sell our car as soon as possible so we don't have to look at it in the driveway and remember how stupid we are". That makes a whole lot of sense. He's gonna get out of a bad deal into an even WORSE deal with the hit he'll take by trading in a nearly new car on another car deal. About the ONLY thing he CAN do is to sell the new car for what he can get for it and buy FOR CASH, a used car and have NO car payment. Like that will really happen. He might try and re-finance at a local credit union. Many here in town are financing at 2.99% for new or late model cars.

Valuable lesson

AUTHOR: Littleduck - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, November 21, 2010

We learned a valuable lesson and will never go out so unprepared again. I also suggest that new car buyers read the article in Reader's Digest called "13 Things your Car Dealer Won't Tell You". I wish I had.

A different perspective

AUTHOR: Ramjet - (U.S.A.)

In my opinion the OP already knows he made plenty of mistakes and is not happy with himself.  It sounds like he will not make the same mistakes again.

It appears his main purpose if to warn people about this particular dealer which is a good thing and should be thanked for it.

Car dealers are a pathetic form of life in general and I expect you found that out the hard way - like most of us.

You Had No Responsibility...Right?

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, November 21, 2010

Here are YOUR direct quotes:

"We bought a car we hate."

"We financed it for higher interest rate than we could have..."

"We traded our car for almost nothing."

And now, in view of YOUR direct admissions...'we bought', 'we financed', 'we traded'...its all their fault, right?  You had absolutely, positively no responsibility in this, right?  They tied you up and forced you at gunpoint, right?

Tell me, what year did you graduate from "Doormat University"?  Are you that "far out" that you have ZERO CONCEPTION of this basic truth YOU are the customer and the dealer needs YOU and not the other way around?

YOU went in there leading with your chin.  You very easily relegated yourself to doormat status.  And now you complain.

Next time remember, you don't need to do anything for the dealer!  YOU are the customer and the dealer needs to cater to YOU, not...repeat NOT the other way around.
