Anthem College Online - High Tech Institute High Tech of Phoenix SCAMMERS, LIARS, FRAUDS Internet

When I first decided to go to High Tech of Phoenix I spoke with a representative and she had faxed me an application for the school. She wanted to enroll me in the classes that were due to begin in two weeks.  I filled out all the appropriate information and before I signed it and faxed it back to her I called her and asked her if by signing the application was I was signing my life away. She stated NO it was just an APPLICATION to see if I could even qualify for the school. That was THE ONLY paper work I ever filled out, well besides the FASFA, in which I never heard anything about. I never signed a contract with the High Tech of Phoenix, and I could never get my pin number to work for the FASFA.  Whenever I had a question when it came to my starting my classes I could NEVER get in touch with anyone. When I finally got in touch with someone maybe two weeks into the school I found out that my representative that I worked with at the beginning no longer worked at the school. That was the last time I ever talked to anyone there. My phone calls were never answered and or never returned. Not only did she no longer work there High Tech of Phoenix changed its name to AnthemCollege. Why? Why all the changes and NO ANSWERS? Soon after calling daily and never getting anyone, I pretty much gave up trying to get a hold of someone from High Tech of Phoenix. I received a call from Sally Mae, who was my finance company. I spoke with a lady who had asked me why I needed some sort of Loan. I told her I knew nothing about this loan. I had never even heard of it before. She then informed me that the High Tech of Phoenix kept requesting to have money sent to them for me. Not once did anyone from the High Tech of Phoenix call me to tell me that they needed this loan or that loan. I had no idea what was going on, because NO ONE would return my calls. I then asked the lady from Sally Mae if I owed that company any money. She told me NO She then asked me if I would want to send the college any money and I said heavens no, they will not return my calls, I cant get any answers as to why they would even request these loans. Absolutely not! Do not send them any money what so ever regarding me. After I got off the phone with her I again called AnthemCollege. I actually got a hold of someone in the billing department and they couldnt answer my questions. It was a never ending circle with these people. Still NONE of my questions were answered. Very frustrating!!!! I soon got tired of never being able to contact anyone or to get any help that I quit. I called and dropped out in February 07.  I stated going to school in December 06.  It was a total of two months, MAYBE two in a half. After all that I never even thought of Anthem College/High Tech of Phoenix or what ever the heck it was. In May, I had my first child. I JUST got home from the hospital and that day I receive a call. It was from some collection agency I believe. He was so rude. He was demanding I pay Anthem College/High Tech of Phoenix $10,809. I was so shocked. I hadnt heard anything out of these people before. I never received a bill. Nothing. So I asked him for what did I owe such a large amount. What he told me was that he couldnt tell me. I just started laughing and said okay so you call me out of the blue and state that you want me to write you a check for $10,809, and not even tell me for what, you must be out of your mind. He then got so rude and so nasty with me. I then told him, look I just got home from the hospital from having a baby Im not going to deal with this right now. His next words were oh, yeah like its so hard to be a mom. That sent me over the edge. I told him that he was not to call me again. He called me daily, and just got nastier and nastier with me. I then started to ask for and itemized bill. Every single time they would call me I would say please send me an itemized bill for what I owe? MY WHOLE TOTAL for the college class FOR TWO YEARS was supposed to be around $24,000, so for two months of school I automatically owe them almost $11,000. They kept telling me that they couldnt send me an itemized bill. For what reason, I have no idea. They just wanted me to fork over almost $11,000 no questions asked. No one in their right mind would just hand over that kind of money. Even if I had that kind of money Im not stupid enough to just hand it over because some collection agency wants it. It got to the point where they would call me two, three times a day. I soon had to change my phone number. I did get a bill that stated I owe Anthem College/High Tech of Phoenix $10,809. The moment I received this so called itemized bill I called them and asked them WHY DO I OWE THIS? And they stated I owed the college that much money. Why so much? I never signed a contract, I only signed the application. They kept telling me that I had a contract with them. I NEVER SIGNED a contract just the application. So if they forged my name on one of their contracts or even took a page out of the application and placed it with the contract that had my name signed on it, I dont know. But all I know is I NEVER SIGNED a contract with them. I cannot stress that enough. NEVER NEVER NEVER!!!!!!! I still have not received an itemized bill. In 2008, TWO YEARS after this all happens, I checked my credit and it just happened to be on there. I called and I called and I called, and not once did I get any answers. In 2009, not once did I hear anything about owing Anthem College/High Tech of Phoenix any money. Then in 2010 I get a statement for your company. How many years later and I still have no idea why I owe this ridiculous amount of money. I am a 21 year only single mom. I am trying to support my two year old BY MYSELF. We are barley making it as it is. I wanted to go to college before he was born so he would have a good life. And look what they are trying to do. After all my failed attempts at trying to get some answers I get screwed over by this college. Its sad to say that I will never go to college now. I am in fear of them screwing me over like Anthem College/High Tech of Phoenix did. I dont know what else to do. All I want to know is WHY I owe so much money. Why do I owe the college so much money and not Sally Mae?? You would think that I would owe the financial company money and not the college. But then again I dont know the reasons why I owe this because I never got any answers or never received and itemized bill.
