Applied Card Bank - formerly Cross Country Bank Ripoff Applied Bank Card is a money hungry credit card company Boca Raton Florida

I would just like to let everyone know that Applied Card Bank (formerly Cross Country Bank), I think they thought they were slick by changing their name is a money hungry credit card company. I cannot tell you where I should begin. This company not only charges high late fees ($32.00) and overlimit fees ($32.00), but also charges $10.00 for a maintenance fee every month plus a finance charge of more than $27.00 every month.

If you think you are safe at your credit limit, think again. You will be charged $10.00 + finance charge, which will put you over the limit, in that case add $32.00 to your ending balance but wind up paying a minimum balance of about $80.00 or more a month so that you won't pay the overlimit fee.

Forget about making a payment on line. They charge $6.95 each time you make an on line payment. For example: you want to pay the minimum of $20.00. Add $6.95 to your payment too. So, the company will make a total of $26.95 or how ever much you send them.
Also, forget about making a payment over the phone. They charge $12.95 for you to make an over the phone payment. Once again, if you think you won't get your payment of $20.00 in on time, remember that you will be giving them $32.95 ($20.00 + $12.95 over phone fee).
If you send your payment on time in the mail, make sure to send it Certified Mail. You never know what excuses they'll come up with, even though you know you sent it 2 weeks earlier and you know they got the payment, but didn't cash the check until after the due date, and then they say you were late on your payment, which will be $32.00 extra you have to pay. I had it with this company. I cut up my card and I will be mailing my payments before the due date, but I will be sending
them Certified Mail with Return Receipt, so that way you know someone got your payment. I hope someone does something about this company. They need to be shut down or get rid of all the extra fees they charge.
I have 3 other credit cards and they don't charge anything for on line payment or over the phone payment.
