Aspen Dental - Care Credit Don't Smile Yet This is Gonna Cost You Webster New York

Ok so I have an abscessed tooth I have no dental insurance and I keep seeing these commercials on TV about how cheap Aspen Dental is. Free initial exam, free x-rays and low monthly payments. So I go there they do the examination and the x-rays and now its time to talk about money. The initial quote was $10,000 I laughed and said thats outrageous if I had that kind of money my teeth wouldn't look like this. So they proceed to tell me about this company they do business with called Care Credit. We took out some of the work they wanted to do and got it down to $4,000. I said ok lets see what care credit can help me with.
The woman at Aspen Dental took all my financial information and they ran it through.
They (care credit) were willing to give me $2,000 worth of credit. I told Aspen Dental to forget it my hours just got cut back at work and I just don't have the money. Being the pushy sales person she was said well lets set up an appointment anyhow and if I can't come up with the other $2,000 I could just cancel my appointment, I agreed.
The next day knowing I couldn't come up with the $2,000 I called and cancelled my appointment.
Aspen Dental then began calling me at least once a day for about 2 weeks at first I took the calls then I just stopped answering it. I felt they were trying to pressure me into something I knew I couldn't afford.
Then I got a credit card from Care Credit so I called them and told them I never had any work done at Aspen Dental and would not be needing it.
About 1 week later I received a letter in the mail stating that they were sorry but at this time Care Credit would not be able to finance me. I was ok with that because I wasn't getting the work done with them anyhow. So thinking it was all over I threw out the denial letter I know that was dumb!
A week later I received another card from Care Credit saying I was approved $2,000, my husband and I laughed and said boy they don't give up easy do they. The very next day I received a bill in the mail from Care Credit stating I owed them $2,000 and my payment of $183.00 was due in 2 days. So I called them and explained the whole situation, they told me that I had to take it up with Aspen Dental. So I did, after a long loud argument the lady said it would be taken care of but it would take 12 to 14 business days. In the meantime Care Credit took $183.00 out of my checking account. Of course I had already written checks out to pay other bills. So now everything was bouncing and with every one that did I was charged by my bank $35.00. So again I called Care Credit and explained the situation they said they would reimburse me $127.00 in 7 to 10 business days and I would receive another amount of $29.00 on June 9th I know it doesn't add up but by this point I was happy to receive anything. When I asked who was going to pay all these bounce fees they both said the same thing take it up with the other one. This not only happened once but it happened again on June1. I get paid every other week and like I said my Hours have been cut and these withdraws take most if not all of my paychecks, and I can't keep paying all the bounce fees by the time I do get reimbursed I owe the bank more than half. I put a stop payment at my bank so at least I know this won't happen again. Now I have to try and get my bounce fees back by now we are talking over $200 I know it doesn't sound like alot but for me right now every penny counts. Not only that but I won't be stressed out, the last time they took the money out I called my husband crying hysterically My paycecks have been going towards groceries. So my advice to anyone dealing with Aspen Dental or Care Credit BEWARE!!! Oh and by the way I never did get my teeth fixed.
