On its website, Astrill specifies that all their VPN plans include: "Simultaneous connections: 2 devices (desktop/laptop and mobile included for free)".
After having signed up, I tried unsuccesfully to connect 2 devices simultaneously using the PPTP protocol. Astrill's Help Desk informed me that it is only possible to do so if using their Open VPN / Stealth VPN special software.
Billing services further informed me that to connect 2 devices using PPTP, one must sign up for an add-on at $5/mth. Feeling I had been ripped off, I asked for a full refund. My request was flatly denied.
Their website (astrill.com/pricing.php) makes no mention of any such limitations on the type of protocol for simultaneous connections. It therefore constitutes false advertising. It is a rip off.
