The whole car buying experience there was horrible. They need to re assess the value of the customer vs how many cars they can sell. My wife and I had so many problems with both poor service and the lack of communication between departments that we had to do all of the follow ups concerning the preparedness of our vehicle we purchased there. We went with the intention of seeing what we would pre qualify for and the sales associate convinced us that we could leave that day in a new 2005 Stratus so we reluctantly went ahead, not withstanding the fact that I did apprise the sales associate that we were just interested in seeing what we qualified for due to the fact my wifes car had been stolen a couple of weeks prior and we were waiting for the adjuster to cut a payoff check.

I digress we left that evening with a signed agreement that this car was ours for the agreed amount that we negotiated for. The following day we received a call from Avondale Dodge informing us that we had to bring the car back we did so, the sales associate told us some flim flammery about the fact that they could not let us have the car for the agreed monthly payment. Next being irate at this time my wife and I were in the midst of leaving and a Sienor sales Exec. by said he'd fix the problem we told him the situation in length and he acted befuddled that the associate that sold us the car had not payed attention to the fact that we wanted the same model car my wife had previous to it's theft. We told the Exec. that the previous associate made the idea of a new purchase more appealing than a previously owned vehicle. The Exec. took us to the used lot we picked out a similar make and model to my wifes stolen car and we guaranteed the same deal from the Exec. to our previous contract with the Stratus. With my wife finally calmed down we headed home and she noticed the car pulled to the right on the freeway and that it idled roughly when we were stationary. the following day Avodale called us and asked us to come back because there was a problem with the contract, at this point we were discusted with the whole car buying experience at this particular dealership and were intent on returning the car. By this time we had met with a different associate every time, this associate informed us that the contract again wouldn't work the agreed monthly installments along with the low % rate a suitable financier could not be found.

I posed the question as to the contract my wife had signed and if it was to there benefit that it had an open ended clause for them and not the buyer, it went un-answered.In closing I the car still runs poorly after having Avondales service dept look at it it had been poorly detailed being dark by the time we receive the car a complete inspection of the clenlieness of the car was a difficult at best. We now are going to refer all our maint. to Lou Grubb Dodge they are attentive to our concerns and are personable. My recommendation to all potential buyers out there BEWARE OF AVONDALE DODGE THE CUSTOMER DOSE NOT COME 1ST THERE

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Hey Shannon got some informative reading for you!

AUTHOR: Stick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 31, 2005

Shannon read all of what I post for you.

Can we call this one "contracts of many colors Mr car salesman or maybe " new contract to sign?

http://www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff88289.htm

In many states we do NOT have anybody that will pass a 3 day cooling off period. In other words once you sign all documentation you are TOAST if you change your mind.

Car dealers do not want you to slid to the next "Sled Show" down the street O I mean their competition. But, hold a second. In most car buying contracts car dealers reserve the right to YANK you out of what you think is yours for many days after the signing of the contract.

They make you think your loan is approved for a few days or weeks, They then YANK you back to the scene of the slim and Kick you out of what you thought was your new sled, I mean car.

Come on Mr. car dealers and tell the truth. You and I both know that many car dealers put some people in "Spots" or "Yanks" because F&I people don't want their UP's to slide down to the next "Sled show" and buy from competition.

Maybe car dealers just want to hold on to their UP's until they have run their Buyer's credit through every last lender they can get their fingers on.

Not to mention that the buyers credit score slides down the mountain side like a turd from a bully goat.

Tell the truth about "Spots" and "Yanks." Its a game that is used in the auto industry to keep the buyer from buying some where else and you know it. Ever see a mortgage company dump a home buyer in a "Spot" or "Yank"?

No because the home buyers would be pissed in a big way if they take days off from work to move in a nice home and then were told to pack their s**t after a few weeks and move out.

Car dealers can do this crap because they have a big long list of well paid lobbyist that keep laws from being passed to stop this kind of s**t. Don't try to BS me! Nor do we have any AG's in this country that will kick some car dealer a*s. Maybe there is a movement of money come election time that car buyers don't know about.

Why not tell the buyer to go home and have a nice night on the town and we "WILL CALL YOU AFTER WE GET YOU APPROVED" and for the buyer to come back and take delivery of the new or USED SLED!

You can't do that, you are afraid that they will jet down to the next "SLED SHOW" and get hammered into some other dealer's Spot or Yank. We can't have a dealer down the road get a good hold of our UP's

Shannon many car dealers love this Yank process. It's used to keep or take the car buyer off of the market. It helps keep a buyer from buying a car from the next "Sled Show" Down the street.

Take some time and read the Rip Off Reports on what BS the car buyer has to deal with to get their trade in back or how much BS they have to deal with to get their down payment money back. Again don't try to BS me Mr car dealer!

Hey Mr Honest Car salesman what can we call this one? Maybe "we forgot to pay off the car Buyer's TRADE!

Car Buyer's trade in falls in a REPO HOLE!
www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff89397.htm

Hey Mr car dealer what can we call this one? Maybe "Forged my signature'
www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff88651.htm

Car dealers playing with the car buyers Credit application after the buyer is long gone home. They try to make the car buyer look better in the bank's eyes so the car dealer is sure to get the buyer approved, even if the car dealer has to play the FRAUD GAME!

I am sure you want proof, so go to the rip Off Report and see for yourself. You tell me what you think! Can we all say FRAUD?

www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff52158.htm
Car dealers telling car buyers that if they do not buy the extended warranty they will not get the lower interest rate. And Some car dealers will get the buyer to agree to a warranty during the signing in the "BOX" and then a few days later behind the car Buyer's back they never pay for the warranty they sold to the car buyer. They keep the money.

You my fellow Americans are not informed of the scams in the auto industry because your local talk radio, local news papers and local TV stations will not bring this to the public at all. If they did it would cost them BIG advertising money.

Hey Shannon do me a big favor. call this guy from 5am to 8am and ask him to talk about car dealer scams. His number is 602-258-5394. Or email him at brucejacobs@kfyi.com and ask him why is it you never hear him chat about car dealer scams and Rip Off's.

Post his email responce on this Rip Off Report. I would love to read it. By the way. His call screener might say that your topic is not news and drop your call like a Hot potato! Just think how many callers DO NOT get on Live to tell their storys.

Why we are on the subject of email, Try emailing these fine people at 550 KFYI and ask them to chat about car dealer Rip Off's. Again post their email responce on this Rip Off Report. Would love to read whay they have to say.

barryyoung@kfyi.com
tomliddy@kfyi.com
austinhill@kfyi.com
joecrummey@clearchannel.com

I feel that they will not chat about car dealer scams because maybe the advertising department/sales might get bent out of shape..Maybe car dealers would get pissed!
