We planned a Casino Royale themed private event for December 15th and after much searching/planning we selected Bartender One to provide a professional mixologist (bartender) for the event. The point of Contact was Andrew Campoli.

Andrew was originally very helpful on the phone. He commented on drinks that we should serve and said to call him back as we got closer to the party and he would tell us how much alcohol to buy for the event. He even referred us to another company that provided a butler service. Andrew requested a credit card, and charged it for half of the events charge. This was a month before the event.

Then the red flags started showing.

Andrew would never answer his phone. We would leave him voicemails trying to plan the menu. Never calls back. Eventually we emailed Andrew, again trying to plan the drink menu. Andrew emailed back with an event quote, as if he have never spoke to us in the past or charged our credit card. Immediately we emailed Andrew back telling him that we had already booked through him, and he had already taken the deposit. Nothing back again.

December 15th came around and we all just hoped that Andrew was busy. After all Bartender One seemed like a reputable company, they couldn't possible stiff us right?

They did. Nobody showed up at 8:00 as contracted. We called Bartender One and Andrew, no calls back of course. The Butler that they recommended showed up, and had never even heard of Bartender One! On top of that, Bartender One attempted to try and charge the credit card given for the deposit on December 17 for the full payment, after not showing up or even having the decency to call back and apologize.

Bottom line, don't trust your events/parties to this company. They are unprofessional and not equipped to handle them at this point.

Bartender One- Andrew Capoli- You sure made an impression for all the guest at the Forest Hill party. At the end of the night, everyone sure knew who Bartender One was.

Andrew Campoli of Bartender One has since called and emailed to apologize. He stated that he spoke to the booked Bartender on Friday, and everything was confirmed by that individual. He has also stated that he will refund the amount charged on the credit card, and the further payment charged was automatically done so.

I appreciate Andrew personally taking the time to apologize. In future, I would recommend a better confirmation service for bookings and hopefully issues like this will not happen.
