I have been in Bell Honda dealer for many times to cancel those crap packages, here is my experiences

August 18, 2012
Signed the cancellation of Execu-Care Platinum Plan. The manager said it would take 3 - 6 weeks to be effective. Right now it is January 1, 2013. Still not cancelled.

December 26, 2012 (about this date)
I went to this dealer again, Jesse Hoffman said what I have cancelled on August 18 were Zaktek packages, and dismissed me saying "mail the newly signed cancellation myself". Jesse Hoffman said "You cannot refinance the car loan"

December 28, 2012
I went to this dealer again, waited 2 hours and finally met Karia. Karia helped me file the cancellation on GAP, Eexecu-Care, Disability, MPP. But she said "You cannot cancel SkyLink($1100), Zaktek($1600) because they goes with the car"

I need cancel all the crap packages and refinance the car loan (currently is 8.44%) and meet all kinds of resistance and misbehave of dealership

I also have an issue with that dealer, and I'd be interested to know what an auto fraud investigator does.

Good luck canceling what you no longer want to pay for i totally agree with you

I totally agree with you that you don't want to pay for all that extra crap that was never needed in the first place. I am very sure that it wasn't the salesman that sold you all that extra CRAP.... I'm very sure that it was a finance manager in the BUSINESS OFFICE.....    I talk to you on the phone and after using a calculator I feel you spent $9-$10,000 more than you needed to buy that car.   After talking to you on the phone I sense that they felt that you had no clue what was really going on.

The problem that I see is when dealership finance managers Sell all this credit life disability and desert protection package and service contracts and all that extra stuff as well as warranties, It has a huge amount of profit in the deal and that's what they get paid upon.  Some dealerships Mark that stuff up 50 to 70%.  And then when you try to go get a service good luck.  Or when you try to use the extended want to eat good luck that item is not covered.

I am willing to challenge anybody With this challenge.  Let's say you bought a car six months ago or maybe even two years ago.  I am willing to bet that you can price shop and buy an extended warranty at any given time after the sale.  Anybody can buy a extended warranty any day they choose you do not have to buy at the dealership.

Good luck trying to get them to cancel anything because they do not want to give up their commissions on all the extra crap you bought.  You have my number if you willing to call me I'll look into your deal even deeper than what I've already done.

Typing error about what Jesse said

AUTHOR: Lance - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 01, 2013

Jesse handed the cancellation request files to me and said "Mail to this address yourself". When we were talking about the 8.44% high rate and chatted about refinance, he said "You cannot refinance it".

I bought package from Bell Honda, and that took effect immediately. When I started to cancel them. The procedures are very slow and Honda Financial keeping charging me for those crap packages.

My down payment is $12000. the car itself is $25685. so what I really need to finance is $13685. Because of those crap packages, I still need to finance $26943.36. and the rate is 8.44%.

Bradley Johnson said the application for car loan failed so he tried again and saying with GAP ($750) it was proceeded. Without those crap packages, I can pay off the car within 2 to 3 months.

Right now I am paying $550 per month and the interest is about $200. I am unhappy, and yet I cannot totally cancel the packages.

Reputation is critical for small business. but for big dealer like Honda dealer, reputation is nothing and customer satisfaction is just a joke between salesmen.

Because Bell Honda shoots 5 star reviews to all negative customer complaints and a specific team impersonates consumers and reviewers to psychologically attack those unhappy customers so to indirectly support Bell Honda. They will never improve there customer service.
