As of 5/9/07 Classic Carpet, Inc. took their main web page down. Their other pages which do not include a BBB logo are still up including one (http://www.classiccarpet.us/about.html) in which they claim to have been in business since 1987.

Joe Roper never registeted Classic Carpet, Inc.with the State of Florida. PERIOD. He's playing semantics with the name of his other company, Classic
Carpet Cleaners of Bay County, Inc. I NEVER did business with a carpet cleaning company. My contract is with Classic Carpet, Inc. and Mr. Roper
KNOWS this. He created a fake corporation at http://www.classiccarpet.us/ that he used to fool me into believing he was legitimate. Fact is, he is NOT.
And the fact the web site displays a BBB logo without the BBB doing due diligence to ensure that the company is registered to do business in the State of Florida is RIDICULOUS! Absolutely! Have your legal counsel check! There is no Classic Carpet, Inc. yet your logo is displayed there promoting his business that does not exist. Don't take my word for it, CHECK the State of Florida Division of Corporation's database! Do some due diligence.

Mr. Norman Wright, President of the BBB of NW, FL told me that "Thank you for the interest in BBB files and reports. I spoke with Mr. Roper and he indicated he would have the Inc removed from Classic Carpet Inc on the web site. When this change occurs I will consider this issue over." This turned out to be a LIE just as my "No Consumer Reponse" above is a LIE. Mr. Norman knew quite well my position on the matter and yet HE took no action to stop a company from advertising the BBB logo when, in fact, THE COMPANY IS NOT REGISTERED IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA AND MR. NORMAN WRIGHT KNOWS IT! The BBB is a FRAUD!

The BBB and AG's can not be trusted.

A good example, read through the ripoff reports and you just might notice something... despite letters to the BBB's and despite letters to Attorney Generals, nothing happened!

Take a good look at the current fraud going on... "You just won a foreign lotto." What is being done?

Nothing!

Many companies use the BBB endorsement as a way to get people to trust them, which is why more crooks recommend the BBB to other thieves and liars.

The BBB is not trustworthly all the business has to do is lie & make it look like u did not accept their great offer & the BBB will put that in their BBB file. The BBB will put the consumer failed to accept their offer when the business made every reasonable attempt to settle the complaint. when the business did not do anything to resolve the complaint. Also the BBB will put false information on their record stating they have answered the complaints when the business did not answer the BBB will lie for the business.

The BBB will also give the business a Satisfactory Record when the reported company does not deserve one. This also misleads the public. You think the attorney general has more power to make the business do what is right. Think again they will give you the worst time then the BBB. The BBB & the attorney general does not help & does not care all they care is to help the business. so the bad business can continue bringing in more victims!
