A forum like Rip Off Report is GREAT and can be very helpful when there's been an issue with an individual or company. It's important to note, however, that there are ALWAYS three sides to every story: your side, their side and...the third side - what really happened.  

I have found Bret Lamperes to be honest, trustworthy, geniune, kind and just an all-around good man.  I cannot recommend him highly enough.  I hate to see two incidents over several years paint a picture of a man about whom I have nothing but respect and admiration.  He's an honest businessman!  We stand behind Bret!

Here are the facts:

I am easily reachable and Mitch knows how to get ahold of me.

Mitch has no family or friends and has alienated all of them and is a bitter person

I had to go represent him at his HOA meetings because he was banned for being Mitch

I defended him at that meeting in the fall and made sure they didnt tow his RV

I invited Mitch to be part of my family.....Sporting events, birthday poarties, graduation parties, my son's band gigs etc

I had deals fall through but committed to pay him money when I had it

Adroit had a shake up and instead of them paying me money, I had to shell out money to keep the agents I had and take over the business.

Instead of accepting payments Mitch has gone on a personal campaign to slander and commit libel with lies and half truths ablut my charater.

Mitch has Face Booked and emailed my partner in Adroit, my Dad, My Mom, and My Girlfriend.  He has tried to put doubt in my Girl Friend's mind about how trustworthy I am and has stated things that are not true.

None of the people who know me and have first hand knowledge of me and my character have believed Mitch and have flat out rejected the idea I am ripping him off. 

If he trys to sue me at this point, I will be counter sueing for slander, defamation of character, and Libel.

I hope the best for Mitch and hope he can come to grips with his bitterness,  I was and am doing the best I can and if payments were not good enough for Mitch on an undocumented loan......I'm sorry.  He acts as if I was not communicating or making efforts to make things right.  Before he got his tax bill he had stated don't worry about paying it back but I can understand he needs the money and he is making payments to the IRS.  So I try to make payments and get a very personal smear campaign from Mitch that has me defending my charater. 

I am saddened because I considered Mitch a friend and welcomed him into my family.  I guess he values money more than relationships and has little grace for a guy truly trying to be a upstanding person.

Mitch it seems that this guy Brett Lamperes has Some kind of history from the looks of it. If I Were in your boots I would be taking this guy to small claims court and force him to pay you everything back look at the below link it will take you to another report about the same guy from the looks of it.
