This is a manipulative and deceitful company. All I wanted as a college student was to build my credit and be able to purchase things without all the high interest rates of most credit cards; however what I got instead was a nightmare.

The reason I am reporting this is so that possible people in the future will not have to go what I am going through now. I have for the most part lost $698.95 taken over the period of one. This company claims to give consumers a $6,500 unsecured credit line authorized for Capital Credit Alliance, Inc's catalog purchases. CCA as is another name also solicits a card with the logo, First National Member card. The information accompanying the card indicated there is a $200 activation fee and $99 annual fee. To activate the card the user must call an 800 number in which all the charges will be debited from the consumer's checking/savings account. The information provided upon the preliminary telemarketer's phone call received, had no mention that over the period of twelve months, six annual fees will be deduced or that the First National Member's Card is only valid with their catalog

When attempting purchase something using their "Credit Cards" it was no use because they did no pertain to a large affiliation such as Visa or MasterCard. Upon calling and questioning this, CCA insisted that the cards could not be used because they were only valid with their catalogs, which I was not originally told.
According to CCA, the $200 activation fee would also constitute as a deposit that could be applied to purchase items from their catalog however after calling the toll free 800 numbers to order an item (a bed frame), the CCA operator/ customer service agent then informed me that there was no credit/money on my account. Out of all the $698.95, debited from my account, there was no credit or money available for purchase of any item.

At this point, the last "annual fee" was revoked and my personal checking account was closed immediately. Up to this point, after attempting to get in contact with some representative from CCA, calling every available number given, no one seems to know what the problem is with my account and no one wants to take responsibility. After consistent calling, their best solution is redirecting the call to rude and mean supposed managers and then ending in hanging up.
