I took my daughter Ava to Cedar Terrace Learning Center from the age of  2 months until she was about 8 months. I had knew someone that worked there, so I was really excited to take Ava there. I felt as if she would be in good hands, but I was wrong.

I would walk in to drop Ava off and there was always babies crying. They didnt seem to have enough help. I would see babies awake and just laying in the crib screaming, and they would just leave them there. I would see babies sleeping in the baby swings, which they were not supposed to do. It seemed like alot of the children wer unhappy to be there, unfortunately they were unable to talk. Alls they had was their cries to say something is wrong.

Little things would happen that I was unhappy with, but I would talk to the caretakers about it and hoped that it would change. My daughter had some breathing problems when she was younger, and so she had to have her formula a certain way. The doctors wanted her to have milk mixed with baby cereal to make it thicker. I told them several times how to make her bottle, yet when I would pick her up at the end of the day I would see that all day, they did it wrong. It was important for her health for her bottles to be made correctly.

The bibs that they used on the kids were disquesting. They were very old, and dirty looking. I had told them I would like them to use my bibs. I wanted the reasurrance that they were getting cleaned and not used on other kids. They refused to use my bibs, which I never understood. As a parent, I should have the choice.

Ava was also on breathing treatments. She needed some treatments with food to prevent thrush. I wrote it all down explaining how much of the vile to give and the time to give it. They would give her the whole vile, when she was only supposed to have half a vile. They would give her The med that she was supposed to have with food, without food. After several times of saying this and they were still doing it wrong I decided to only do them at home. I never felt like they listened to me. As a parent that is very irritating.

Ava started to develop these horrible diaper rashes. I took full tubes of desitin and left it there, yet they never used them. I told them time after time to used the desitin, but they never listened to me. One lady said to me, "I didnt know I was supposed to" I would have her butt cleared up when at home, but by the end of daycare her butt was so bad, she was bleeding. She would have blow outs in daycare and they never washed the clothes out. They would have soiled clothes shoved in a plastic bag, and let them totally get ruined. Two times a day this was happening, it was unbelievable how many clothes they ruined.

The day that I had finally had enough, I walked into daycare to see my baby crawling on the floor with diareah running down her legs. As all the ladies were sitting doing nothing, my child was sitting there in a dirty diaper. I noticed it right away, and picked her up to change her. The lady came over and said I will do it. I was being nice and let her take over, while I packed up Avas things. She put her on the changing table and stripped her down. He butt was bleeding, and had soars all over it. She was screaming so hard as the lady was wiping her down, as if she was sanding a piece of wood. Babies have very tender little butts, and she didn't have a care in the world that my child was screaming so hard she would't breathe. I took over with tears running down my face.

How could someone treat my baby this way? and if she did this in my presence, what was she doing when I was not there? I took my daughter out of there, and told Ava I would never make her go back to that daycare. I didnt care if I had to miss work to find a replacement daycare, Ava was never going back there again.

Cedar Terrace learning Center should be shut down. To this day I think of what they did to my child, and it has stayed in my memory. I think you have to be heartless to do that to a child. I want to put the word out there, that they mistreat the infants. Stay far away from this place!!

Please consider calling whatever licensing agency is responsible for this day care. There are rules in place and they should be followed for the health and welfare for the children. I hope you've found something more suitable by now :-)
