Tampa and St. Petersburg Florida residents beware. Christopher R. Thompson AKA Chris Thompson is not a licensed contractor, does not pull the correct permits for his work, will take your money and leave you with a mess of the job. He IS a convicted felon, theif, and scam artist who will rob you blind.

My husband and I had Chris Thompson do work to our house. While the cost of the job was extensive the work didnt seem to be. Apparently we were wrong. Either through his lack of experience or because he was just a plain idiot Chris did not pull permits for certain projects we needed him to complete. Chris did not inform us we needed to pull permits to do certain things either. This was his duty as a contractor. After taking our money (he insisited we pay upfront) and completeing very shoddy work he left just as quickly as he showed up.

Two weeks later we get a notice our "building is not up to code" and that we had needed permits to do certain work. Upon contacting Chris he wanted more money to return. We had no money to finish this project. We went ahead and hired Steve Breil of Huber enterprises who came and finished the work. Steve walked us through every step and informed us of the many shortcuts that were taken during the job. We contacted an attorney to file against Chris Thompson for the amount we needed to fix the leftover issues, but our attorney found out Christ Thompson is a convicted felony serving probation whose wages were being garnished  in order to repay another mortgage scam he committed in 2007.
