Cidea Uno Scam: False Importer/Distributor of products in the United States Beverly Hills California

CIDEA UNO is a California-based corporation currently operating with a forfeited business license.

 CIDEA UNO offers its services as a distributor/representative/importer for foreign companies (focused on Spain and mainly in the food sector). They claim that they can import and distribute products on behalf of the company and generate high sales volumes as well.  CIDEA UNO charges their clients (sometimes $10,000 or more) for services such as FDA registration, product nutritional analysis and composition, certifications and other miscellaneous charges.  After CIDEA UNO receives payment from their clients, they do not actually perform said services, and become unavailable by telephone and e-mail.

Pan***, one of the scammed companies, sued CIDEA UNO in a Supreme Court of California civil case and won. Pan** was awarded general, punitive and exemplary damages (and interest) amounting to more than $52,000, which they are yet to receive. 

Still, as far as we know, there are more than 15 companies that also have fallen victim to CIDEA UNO’s fraudulent services. These are all small businesses in Spain with limited or no expertise in exporting and were easily lured by CIDEA UNO’s fraudulent promises of high-volume sales and exports.
