On May 3, Big Apple food stores in Auburn Maine got busted not only once, but incredibly TWICE. This company has flunked more and more alcohol and tobacco stings than any company in the state, and the sad part is that they really could not care less. Last month the exact same thing happened in Portland, and several other C N Brown Locations.

They are a ripoff that only cares about profits and nothing else. I and several others wonder why they don't lose their liquor license, they don't seem to learn from past mistakes. They don't care if our chidren can be sold liquor, as long as it makes a profit. The state of Maine has licensed them to have several agency liquor stores, and this is really incredible.

Where and when will it stop? Not until enough people call Augusta and tell them that this company should have their liquor license revoked.

You did the right thing

Esther,
From what I read about this so called owner he has violated the federal labor law. Making you work for free. I also heard he makes his employees pay for drive off which is another violation. I know of a convience store owner in Alabama who took a $55.00 drive off out of his pay .

The employee imformed that this is against the law the owner acted like he did not care . The employee told him he was going to call the labor board and the owner gave him back his $55.00 . I also learned the 1st offense is a fine up to $1000 . I'm not sure it probably goes up after that. Maine is not a right to work state. I went to a website about right to work states and Maine is not on the list.

SUCH AN UNCOUTH COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS

AUTHOR: Esther - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 07, 2009

No matter what you may think that kids can get alcohol one way or another, doesn't matter, they are a very uncouth company. I used to work off the clock, without pay, and was forced to do so for years. What kind of company would you call that? This is SLAVERY, something that has been ilegal for over one hundred years. I am in the middle of doing a story about this for the news media, and hopefully, that will be the end of C.N. Brown. They will be sued by me both criminally and civilly, and I will get every dime of what they owe me PLUS INTEREST

These minors will ask an adult to buy for them

AUTHOR: Steph - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 11, 2009

I know these minors will ask an adult to buy for them. I had some minors ask me and I said "No I said I know d**n well you are not old enough so leave me out of it." When I told a friend of mine who also knew the same group of kids he told me I did the right thing. There is another imformation if a customer passes you a fake ID and you realize it you can confiscate it.

ALCOHOL SALES TO MINORS WILL ALWAYS BE WITH US

AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 02, 2009

IF PEOPLE WANT SOMETHING BAD ENOUGH,THEY WILL FIND A WAY TO GET IT.

EVEN EX PRESIDENT BUSH'S DAUGHTER GOT BUSTED AS A MINOR BUYING ALCOHOL.

YOU CAN'T LEGISLATE MORALITY.

THE ONLY RIP OFFS HERE ARE PEOPLE WHO MAY GET KILLED BY SOME s****.> I THINK THE DWI POSSIBILITY IS THE ONLY REASON I AM IN FAVOR OF AN AGE LIMIT FOR ALCOHOL PURCHASE.

PROHIBITION DOES NOT WORK.

LOOK AT THE SMILING MEXICAN DRUG CARTEL MEMBERS WITH THEIR FISTS FULL OF DOLLARS --HUNDRED DOLLAR BILLS AND THEIR BRIGHT DUDED OUT PICKUP TRUCKS AND SO FORTH... DOPE IS ILLEGAL..WHERE DID ALL THAT MONEY COME FROM?

WE HAVE HISPANIC BORDER PATROL AGENTS IMPRISONED BECAUSE THEY SHOT A MEXICAN DRUG CARTEL GUY TRYING TO ENTER HERE ILLEGALLY WHO SHOT AT THEM FIRST...

SO TELL ME HOW PROHIBITION OF ANYTHING WORKS THAT PEOPLE WANT AND ARE WILLING TO GO OT ANY LENGTHS TO GET IT...

EVEN ALCOHOL.

How were you ripped off? I can understand that you may want to make this information public, but then you should have written your local paper. As far as I can tell, these people just do a crappy job, but that does not automatically count as a rip-off.

I have no sympathy for them

I have no sympathy for any company that sells alcohol or tobacco to a minor and gets busted for it.
