I wish I could go back in time and do things over. As all these reports indicates, a Coast to Coast sales person came to my door. My windshield had a few pits, but really wasn't all that bad. However, I swallowed everything he said and allowed him to contact my insurance company. My insurance company did warn me that Coast to Coast Auto Glass wasn't on their glass program and that I would have to go with their warranty and that they (my insurance) company wouldn't honor it. As she was telling me all of this, the sales person had hand written "Lifetime Warranty" at the very top of the invoice, and was pointing at it.

Like an idiot, I let my guard down and simply didn't worry about it. I was scheduled to have a new windshield two days from that day. On the day of the installation, I sat home and waited, and waited, and waited. I received no phone call from the installer as told to me by the sales person. I did try and call the "Corporate Offices" (There were 5 at the top of the invoice), but never once got through.

5 days later, I was about to get into my car when I noticed that my windshield had been replaced without me even knowing it. I was inside my home the entire time, and the installer never once tried to ring the doorbell, which I personally checked to see if it was working, and it did.

A little less than a week later, after the windshield had been installed, I began hearing a slight whistling noise coming from the top of my windshield. Again, being an idiot, I didn't pay it much attention. However, when the rain came, I was shocked to see my entire dash area was soaking wet and rain streaks were on the inside. This is where my real nightmare began. Again, I called their "Corporate Offices" and waited for over 45 minutes without an answer. I called the sales person and told him of the problem, and he said he would take care of it.

For two weeks, I called the sales person repeatedly about my issues, and he finally told me that he had done all he could do to report the problem. I asked to speak to his manager, and was told that the manager wasn't available. I asked for the manager's direct number, and was told he wasn't authorized to give his number out. Again, I called their alleged "Corporate Offices" and waited for over an hour before finally hanging up the phone without a response.

My heart sunk when I googled Coast to Coast Auto Glass! It seems there are plenty of people who have been taken in by this company. I have filed a complaint through the SC Attorney Generals Office, and will continue to tell everyone I come in contact with about them. Please, please, don't let these people fool you into letting them replace your windshield. The agony of the aftermath is not worth it!

If someone representing themselves as Coast to Coast Auto Glass knocks on your door, do yourself a huge favor, and tell them to go away, then call the police. Now, I have been informed that this company is not even licensed to work in Summerville at all, so if they show up at your doorstep, they are doing so illegally.
