This company is so shady it amazes me that they are still in operation. They charge 300% annuall interest on it's Auto Title Loans and are quick to reposses the car if you don't pay fast enough. They do NOT train the employees so employees mis-inform customers every single day. The employees have NO IDEA how the 25% per month interest accumilates and will mislead you !
Stay Away !!

Complaint Number

AUTHOR: Lovemyjob - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, April 28, 2011

I have worked for this company since 2005. They offered me an opportunity when no one else would, and it's funny, because that's what we do for our customers as well. I wish the million or so customers that have had a loan with us, paid off, and thanked us for our services would write on here, but they won't, because they don't feel as if they were ripped off. Seeing that we've been in business for this long and we only have a few complaints, I'll take each of your issues as the exception. When I first started here, the 800 number was 800-922-8803.....and guess what....today it is 800-922-8803. Our customer service reps are extremely understanding of each individuals situation and see to it that there is a resolution with in 24 hours with each call.

As an employee of CLA...

AUTHOR: John Aaron - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 15, 2010

I have managed a CLA branch for almost 4 years now. We have a wonderful company, with a main focus on Customer Service and satisfaction. We provide several amazing and important services through out the nation to many members of many different communites that would otherwise have no access to credit, or to people who choose not to use credit for personal reasons. Our company was designed to quickly help people in need without the hassle and endless wait time you would receive by going to conventional lenders such as banks.

Our training program is one of the best I have ever seen through out the many companies I have worked for. Our Training program not only gives you 2 weeks upfront training, but continuous training several times a year. We work in teams that sometimes have as many as 15 managers that have been with the company for several years and serve am mentors. We also have Area and Regional Managaers that continuously train and quiz us to make sure we are providing the best possible experience for our Customers. We are trained to incourage our customers to pay us in full as soon as possible to avoid extra interest charges and all employees know that interest accumulates on daily basis so that our customers only pay for the days the loan is in use. I was trained not only to discuss the payments and payment options at length with my customers(which I do before and after the application is filled out, as well as at the time of the contract signing), but to also show them that by taking only what you can afford and need, they can repay the loans quickly and for a reasonable price.

It is not the goal or objective of our loans or company to reposess anyones vehicle. We understand the importance and convience of vehicle ownership and would much rather keep you in your vehicle, driving happily. We are not in the business of buying vehicles. However, as with any other company (such as banks, mobile phone providers, utility companies, etc...), we do expect you to keep your promises and commitments that you agreed to when you signed your contract and to make your payments on or before your due date. Unfortunately, reposession is sometimes the only option when payment is not made.

I am truly sorry if you misunderstood our contract, or our explanation. However, we have representitives available Mon-Fri from 10-6 and Saturday 9-2 if you have questions regarding your contract. And we are more than happy to re-explain a contract as many times as it takes until you are satisfied in your knowledge of loan contract that you are entering, or that you have entered if questions should arise after you have taken the loan.

inconceivable

AUTHOR: Clifford - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 17, 2009

It's inconceivable to me that anyone would take out a loan of ANY kind without knowing exactly what the interest rate is and how they work their payment plans. Also what all the payoff requirements are and the repercussions if you miss any payments.

That's all very critical information to have before you sign. After you sign, it's too late and you have no one to blame but yourself.

Fallen for their quick and easy fast money scam?

AUTHOR: George - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 17, 2009

I was victimized by this company also, they are very large and located in many states. I wouldn't be in this situation if I had read and understood what I was signing. They should have explained to me that I would be paying 300% interest for borrowing $300.00 and then I would have never taken the loan out.

A word of wisdom, Read The Fine Print before you sign anything.
