I signed up (unfortunately) to do tests of products (I thought). Most of the offers were of no interest to me, but an offer was sent to me which was of interest. As a Mac owner, I was interested in testing a new G5 iBook and thought it was a bonefide test. I soon discovered, however, it was only a "bait and switch" scam, requiring me to "choose 2 of the following free offers" which of course, were nt free at all but involved not only an expenditure on my part but disclosure of my private information. I did the first screen thinking it would be the only "selction"/e4xpenditure I would have to make. When I continued, I soon discovered another screen of "selections" and exasperatedly selected 2 more. By then, I was aware I was probably being ripped-off but my personal information had been submitted/compromised and I had an accumulation of 4 purchases I did not want. On going to the next screen at "continue", there was yet another screen with 3 selections, 2 of which I was supposed to "sign up for", requiring an expenditure of hundreds of dollars. That was the last straw and I angrily terminated the screen and sent an email to the people who sent me the offer. I realised of course, that I had not "completed" the "requirements", so I would not have the opportunity to test the new iBook, very disappointing as I had originally thought the "product test panel" was legitimate and the offer a genuine one to determine reactions and responses to a product. I had just spent money I did not want to spend on things I did not want; bait and switch in all its gory glory. I'm very upset and angry at having this slick operation be so successful as I am usually not taken in. Set up to look like a real operation for testing products, it is nothing more than pure scam ripp-off. Beware! Very slick!!! VERY abusive/misleading!!!
