We sat thru their timeshare sales talk and it did sound too good to be true. We were offered the free Developers Week, a notice at the beginning of the year concerning renting our week, a check for the rental of our week if we don't use it, etc...etc....
We bought our timeshare in December 2011. We have not been able to use the Developers Week and everything time we call they give us the run around. And we're told we have to pay to use it. So much for "free".
We were told there was a week during the Heritage Classic tournament and they would rent our unit and send us a check....never happened.
We were told that we would always get a check every year that would cover our maintenance fees....never happened.
We paid their company to advertise our week for rental....then heard nothing from them. We were out $495.00.
Buying into Coral Resorts has been my biggest regret. And I don't know how to get out of it.

Timeshare Scams

It doesn´t surprise me to read these types of complaints, these developments always operate in unethical ways. The big rip-off about timeshares is in the way they are sold. The folks who sell timeshares use all sorts of trickery to get you to attend a high-pressure sales pitch, where they put shills in the audience ("Gee, these timeshares are a great bargain! My wife and I are going to buy one NOW!"). These are good articles on how to get out of a timeshare scam: http://www.timesharescam.com/
