I have not been ripped off yet, but was trying to prevent it. I received a letter from this organization claiming to be in business since 1982 and being listed in the 'National Home Worker's Society'. They are offering $4 / envelope and up tp $800/wk or more. All you have to do is send them $40 and they will mail you their kit.
I can not find any info on them. The phone# given is a recording only. I originally read about the offer in a Pennysaver ad. After responding to the phone number they listed, I receved this letter. I do not want to fall prey to another scam, as this sounds just like the others you have listed.
Can you help me determine if this one could be legitimate, as my 14 yr old son would like to earn money for college.
Thank You.

Stay away from any of them. They are all scams. They either do not send you anything or if they send bs catalogues you have to send out, they will pay you ONLY if anybody order from the catalogue you sent out. It means, if only one person order from the 100, you will be paid only after ONE envelope.
(Usually you will not get paid at all.)
You do not have to take my word, accept my opinion. Please go to the RipOffReport search site, http://badbusinessbureau.com/search.asp, and type into the "Report text" : stuffing. You will see 110 reports regarding this kind of business - under different names.
Or you can check the Federal Trade Comission recent lawsuit against a similar business :
http://www.ftc.gov/os/2002/07/index.htm
Scroll down to July 30, FTC v. Stuffingforcash.com, et al. In the Complaint you can read the detailed description of this deceptive business. You can read something else: how the same one business change it's name in every couple of months.
