Ok CRST is a total ripoff. My husband left may 10 to go to the school. He went through the whole process and even went to kirkwood community college to get his cdls. He signed the 8 month contract but they have not done there part from the get.He got them and was suppose to start driving with a teacher the next day/ Well the next day turned into the folling week.

He finally got on the truck for what was suppose to be 29 days and 14000 miles and it has been hell from the get. The truck kept steady bring down. It broke down the week he got on the truck which was June 1 and he still has not got the break down pay yet and we are trying to get that. It broke down 3 times in 2 weeks. There trucks are not what they say they are.

Next, he has been on the truck 25 days and they are saying it is 21 days and are screwing him over on the days and they know they are. He is on his second trainer because of the first trucking breaking down all the time. The trainer has passed him but they are giving him the run around with the days and he has 14105 miles so the days and miles are good. So why not do there part of the contract.

Now they are screwing him over with pay. He has drove and a*s load of miles but they want pay him what they are suppost to. They exspect you to keep up with your part so why dont they. I want to sue them for breach of contract but dont know if I can? So NOBODY go to CRST unless you like to be screwed over and they dont give you the kiss with it.

The key to all this may be in your ability to "understand" some basics!  First, no matter where you go to get a CDL...you get ONE and only ONE!  No matter what state you get a license in, the nice man or nice lady asks you to stand while they take your picture to put on a card which is THE CDL.  They don't give you more than one.  So, you don't leave with CDL's and you don't get "them".  What does the contract say?  You said it yourself...29 days AND 14,000 miles.  You also stated he has less than 29 days and more than 14,000 miles.  So then, if the contract requires 29 days, then by your own admission, he doesn't have enough days, yet.  Then you say there's a dispute regarding the number of days and you also say there were breakdowns.  I would just about bet money the 29 days means training days.  So if days are spent sitting around because the truck is being fixed, they aren't training days.  Then you talk about breakdown pay.  Is a student driver entitled to breakdown pay?  What are the conditions for breakdown pay to be extended if he is?  No, I don't work for them.

I'm sorry to hear your problems with this ugly industry, but had you looked here first you probably wouldn't be in this boat.

As far as sueing them, they are on the board at ATA and for the most part government backed, you don't have a prayer.

They have been operating the same way for many years, and as long as no one bothers to investigate what they are getting in to, I'm sure they will be there for many more.

Best of luck and God Bless.
