In my opinion DealDash is a very dishonest Penny Auction... Even though they call thereselves the "Honest" Penny auction... Three times at least when I placed a bid on an auction during the last couple of seconds it would not accept my bid and someone else won. It was like the system just froze. Wrote customer service and they said this was due to high traffic... Um.. It never happened any other time except when I was ready to win. Odd. It was also odd that when I bought my first bid pack I won six times in a roll but never had that luck again in fact spent a ton of money and never won again. Very dishonest bussiness in my opinion that needs investigating.

The Fair and Honest Auction Site

AUTHOR: DealDash_Adam - ()

POSTED: Monday, May 27, 2013

I'm sorry to hear that you're unhappy with your experience on the website. We're the longest running auction site of our kind in the US, and currently provide service to over 1.5 million registered users.

While we do our best to ensure that bidding is a smooth and fluid process for our users, it is important to note that bids are only counted when they register in our servers, and due to potential network lags or other disruptions in service there are instances where bids fail to register within the allotted time period.

I reviewed your conversation with our customer support team, who informed you that you can use the BidBuddy in order to mitigate the risks associated with the last second bidding strategy you have described. Using this tool in the future will help prevent you from finding yourself in a similar situation. I can also see that you have had your first bid pack purchase refunded to you, which is something all dissatisfied customers are entitled to underneath our site's Terms of use.

I hope this helps clarify this issue for you, but if you have any additional questions or concerns, or would like more information on the BidBuddy, please don't hesitate to contact us. Our customer support staff is your best resource for learning how to save big in the auctions, and they're always available to answer your questions!

User did not know how to play on site

AUTHOR: UPSgrad82 - ()

POSTED: Sunday, May 26, 2013

According to what this former DealDash customer writes, I can tell he/she did not understand how to use this penny-auction site.  This person admits that he/she was a new customer. Many new customers go on the site without first reading how to play.

Chances are this user was casting single bids from the home page and could not even see what was happening on the inside (behind the scene). Chances are this person also did not even know how to use the automated bidder -- Bid Buddy.

Customers who cast single bids cannot expect to compete with those who use the automated bidder. This is true on nearly ALL penny-auction sites. To find the automated bidder, you have to double click on the item you want to bid on. When you do this, a new window opens up and that is where this bidder could find the automated bidder, Bid Buddy.

The automated bidder, Bid Buddy, will almost always get the last bid. If this customer would have learned how to use the site before bidding, chances are he/she would have had a much better experience.

DealDash is known as the fair and honest penny-auction site for good reason. I have been bidding on the DealDash site since February 2012, and so far I won more than 300 auctions. I received everything I won in excellent condition. Most of the time, my winning items arrived much faster than I expected.

I am extremely happy with my experience bidding on DealDash.com. I think it is wrong for someone to go on the site, without understanding how to play, and then blame the company by writing up negative reports.

To be fair to the company and/or its hard-working staff members, if this person did not receive a product, he/she should have notified the DealDash support team. If he/she went by the rules, I am sure he/she would receive their winning item.

I have done an in-depth study of several penny-auction sites, and when comparing one with another, it is very easy for me to tell that DealDash.com is by far the best penny-auction site online.

A happy DealDash customer, Screen Name: SorryMyTurn
